If you want to be credited for your submission, be sure to register as a member first and log in. There are free and paid member options, both with benefits, so please check out the membership page before submitting something.
Please read these, even if you've read them before:
Please note that this form is NOT for corrections. To correct a mistake, go to the relevant TV show's page and click the edit icon under the entry - a drop down list will then appear which will let you correct/change things.
If your entry has been written without reading these it gets automatically removed from the database before being seen. If your entries don't appear after a while, feel free to e-mail me, but please note that any e-mails asking why submissions haven't been posted will be ignored unless they include EXACTLY what was submitted, together with the precise title used.
Please follow the rules below to make my life easier and keep the quality of the site up - badly written or incomprehensible submissions will likely just be discarded.
- Submissions without timecodes won't be penalised in any way, but attaching an accurate DVD time to your entry makes it easier to check.
- Please start your submissions with ## before you write anything else, even a space. For example write "## In the scene where...", without the quotes. This is simply a test to see who's actually bothered reading the rules (such as your good self) - in my experience all the junk comes from people who don't bother.
- Stupidity isn't a mistake. Characters are entitled to make daft decisions - it's only a "character mistake" if it's a mis-spelling, or if a character states something which is inaccurate, and that inaccuracy isn't part of the plot.
- Be VERY cautious if your entry contains "why...?" Logic's normally needed, but the plot has to be moved forward too. If you start second guessing every character's decisions, you'll never stop. If you'd have done it differently that doesn't make it a mistake - it's only a mistake if a character does something absolutely ridiculous purely because it furthers the plot, but situations like that are relatively rare.
- If something requires slow motion or pause to spot, it has to be something relatively significant, such as a cameraman in shot for a few frames or a gap in the set - things that would flash by quickly at normal speed but when paused will be interesting to see. Minor continuity mistakes that can only be noticed in slow motion (like a vase moving a fraction to the right, that you can only see by pausing the DVD) almost certainly won't be listed, or if they do get online, may be removed if enough people vote them down.
- Bear in mind that some suspension of disbelief is always allowable - for example yes, most action heroes would have been dead from bullet wounds/broken bones long ago, but then the world of fiction would be much less interesting.
- Be specific, but don't give unnecessary detail. It's important to position a mistake exactly within a sequence (ie. "In the interview, his collar changes just after he says...", rather than "In the interview, his collar changes in one shot"), but you don't need to explain how he got to the interview, at what point the interview appears (unless there are lots, in which case specify which interview you mean) or what happens around it.
- A SCENE is one complete sequence, within one location. A SHOT is just a different camera angle within a scene. Getting this wrong may result in your submission being ignored - after all, a mistake that reads "The woman puts her hand up, but in the next scene it's down", isn't really a mistake, because it could be a whole different location.
- Don't copy mistakes from other sources, or send in alleged mistakes that you've heard rumours about (ie. the "ghost" in Three Men and a Baby, or the person hanging themselves in The Wizard of Oz - both are untrue).
- If you're submitting trivia, it has to be both interesting and not blatantly obvious, ie. if a film spoofs a very famous scene, it's not trivia, but if the spoof is of something fairly obscure, people may be interested to know what. The same actor being in two different (or even vaguely related) things isn't trivia - there has to be a really close, unarguable connection between two roles.
- Mistakes in deleted scenes from DVDs are generally ONLY valid if they're mistakes within that one scene. Differences between deleted scenes and the finished movie are almost always not "proper" mistakes, as on occasion that's the reason they're deleted!
- Please check to make sure that what you're about to submit isn't already listed. Be sure to read any title-specific notes below, and the sample entries on the next page.
- Start with a capital letter, and end with a full stop or question mark. The ONLY words that should have capital letters are place names/people's names, and the first word of a sentence. Please don't write any words in all capitals, and please don't use exclamation marks.
- Don't write "Tom Cruise's character", or "Neo (Keanu Reeves)", for example. Just write the actor's name or the character name, NOT BOTH.
- Once you've typed out your submission, give it a read to make sure it looks OK, and please correct as much of the spelling as possible.

| Episode | Please read this bit carefullyI'm afraid this takes a bit of effort on your part, as TV shows have more options than films - please choose an episode - if you're submitting for a series that doesn't have them, such as a soap opera, just change the box to "across whole show". If a mistake spans more than one episode, please pick the episode which highlights it the most. If it was from a recent episode, it may be that I don't have that episode listed - in that case, please just choose "across whole show", but include the series/season, episode number, and title in the body of the mistake.
