Question
Don't have title or actor's name but the movie was based on an American pilot shot down over Northren Japan during winter, I think, and kept as prisnor and hidden from the Japanise army when they came thru town. Thought it was Anthony Hopkins, but was not. Answer
There was a movie released sometime in the past 25 years where characters watched the skeleton scene from "House on Haunted Hill" on TV. What was it? Answer
I'm looking for an animated children's movie I saw in the early '90s (though my guess is it was an 80s/possibly late 70s film). It had three or four people traveling through our tunnels and old parking garages in search of a "paradise," because their current world is too polluted. There was a little boy and a little girl, a grandmother/old lady (who died in one of the parking garages half way through the film) and I believe there was a man too (he was only in first half though). One of the kids played a flute. I also remember all the people being different colors — like red and blue. The whole movie was very dark and the scenery was creepy. It ends with the boy and girl finding paradise and running along a beach with palm trees. Anyone know the title of this movie? Answer
This is about fans, the rotating kind. In sci-fi movies it seems (mostly) there is one scene with a rotating fan or fans. Usually they are backlit and slightly foggy, but they usually serve no purpose. Sometimes a duct fan, sometimes a stand-up room fan. One film had 20 of the things in a 'wall of fans'. Does anybody know the significance of throwing a meaningless fan into a movie? Note: This may be a duplicate entry - I sent it in yesterday but the browser didn't acknowledge. If a duplicate, I apologize. Answer
Looking for the title of a film, I'm almost sure it was balck and white, and I remember this horrible scene in which a little girl is running across the street towards what may have been her grandfather who was either sick or blind or both and then one of them gets hit by a car or a truck. It really made an impression and I can't recall the actors or the title. Answer
I saw a film about 30 years ago about a couple and their teenage daughter who go on holiday. The girl has asthma. A mysterious old lady who says she can cure her becomes involved in their lives. The mother and daughter get sucked in but the father is suspicious. Towards the end of the film, things turn nasty. He gets locked up somewhere but escapes and sees his wife and daughter in some kind of devil worship procession. A typical 1970s film - does anyone know it or what it was called? Answer
For years I've been trying to find a play which appeared on British TV maybe 30 years ago or more about an Irish parish priest and a very naughty boy who loves Jesus. All I remember is that in the end the boy "saves" Jesus by breaking him off the cross, and the film ends with the priest furiously repairing the cross by banging the nails back in. Does anyone else remember it? Answer
Does anyone know the title to this movie I saw sometime in the 70's? It is a western that ends with a shootout between a posse and the couple they are pursuing. The couple is huddled low while the man is shooting. After the man is killed, the posse calls to the woman to surrender. Instead, she grabs the rifle and continues the fight. She is quickly killed and slumps over dramatically. Answer
I remember a film from about 8 years ago. It was a horror, involving two kids (girl and boy) who are trapped in a mansion. They are trying to kill the ghost of an older man who is terrorising them. I remember the boy taking a picture of the man, ripping the head of the picture off, and then pouring some kind of liquid over it. Someone know what this is? Answer
I'm searching for the title of a movie and only have vague recollections to offer. The time period is the mid 50s, perhaps even early 60's. The female lead was a pretty blonde. She reports her fiance as missing. The handsome detective comes to interview her and in the course of the interview he is smitten with her. He suspects she may have actually killed her fiance, but there is currently nothing to prove that fact. Two specific scenes stick in my memory. She is driving her little convertible sports car along a winding road with a sheer cliff. She stops the car and gets out and looks over the edge of the cliff. (Is this where she murdered her fiance and pushed him over the edge? Is she wondering why his body hasn't turned up?) She is being watched by the detective and these are the questions he has. She says she just stopped to think and that the look on her face was that of a women who'd lost her shopping list. The second scene is of the detective playing a building block game with a young boy, perhaps the woman's brother. A part is missing, a small wooden heart shape piece that is supposed to go on top. The fact that it's missing, where it actually is and how it is found are crucial to the solving of the mystery. Sorry this is all so vague and I'm grateful to any who bothered to read all the way through. jeani. Answer
I recall a rather cultish movie which had something to do with the main character, a young boy, being blind. At times, however, it seems like the whole town is blind, and he is the only one who can see. Might have been English subtitles, I can't recall. Sound familar to anyone? Answer
I am desperately trying to find the name of a kids TV program on British TV in the eighties. I think it was originally an australian TV program. It involved kids living near water (a lake?) and seing lights on an island (red or green). They find out that there are tunnels leading under the lake populated by evil creatures that look like humans but with slime on their faces. Answer
I remember a movie probably made in the 60's or 70's about a free spirited girl who is in a relationship with a man, she has a cat named "mouse", at the end of the movie she turns around three times saying "i divorce thee, i divorce, i divorce thee". Answer
What is the title of a ~ 30 year old film in the style of jason and the argonaughts where the beginning has a rope device that people have to hang on too in order to get over a huge abyss and get to an island on the other side. Slaves turn the device on each end to keep the rope moving. In the film the star saves an old man who is about to fall by grabbing him with his legs? Answer
I can remember what this movie is about but I can't remember the name or any of the actors in the movie. I pretty sure that the movie came out in the 1990's. It's about a family who is going on a vacation in a motor home. At one point in the movie the Dad was showering in the motor home while his wife was driving. He came out of the shower to grab a towel but opened the wrong door, he opened the door leading outside, and landed in the street naked. Another scene in the movie is when the Mom gets bitten by a snake and a friend sucks the vemon out of her leg, the son walks in seeing this happen and goes to tell his Dad. If anyone has any answers it would be really helpful. Thanks. Answer
In late 1981 I saw a movie with a scene I am sure has since been corrected, but I can't remember the title. The scene in question involved a car chase in which a character in the lead car fired a weapon of some type at the trailing car. The shot in question is from the perspective of the lead car (looking back on the one being hit). That car is supposed to lose both front wheels, but they apparently did not come off on cue. The camera continued to dolly backwards, eventually revealing the dolly tracks and cables laying across the road. I BELIEVE the movie was SCANNERS, which was a 1981 movie, but can't confirm it. Surely, if this scene was indeed in the original release of the movie, I wasn't the only one to see it. Can anyone help? Answer
I'm looking for the title of a movie about a group of actors in a stage play. Someone was murdered and they are all suspects. It is not Rehearsal For Murder. Answer

I saw a TV movie once a long time ago. It was about a woman who thought she was going through menopause and the doctor confirmed that and gave her medication to help with symptoms. By the time they realized she was actually pregnant, the drugs had caused severe damage to the baby. She had to decide whether to have the baby or get an abortion. I missed the ending. Does anyone know how it ended? Answer
Ok, my problem is this; When I was about 10-11 years old, I saw this short film (I guess it was about 30min long or so) that I think was japanese or chinese, I can't remember, but anyways, it's about a girl that slays dragons and rips their spine out(it's not as gory as it sounds^_^). In the end she tragically kills herself with her sword(cuts her throat open). I've tried to look on the internet, but I don't know how to search for it since I don't know the name or anything. I HAVE to see this animation again, it is that good, trust me. Answer
