| Saw this movie trailer about a year ago (2011): Foreign film about a man in prison (circa WWI or WW2?) who pays another prisoner so he may go free and assumes that other man's identity. The freed man then travels to the other mans estate where he assumes the other mans identity & position in the family. Some suspect; others don't. Possible British cast. | I'm looking for a movie filmed in Los Angeles in 1982. The beginning scene shows a woman getting her infant son (0-2) taken away by a dog, followed by her screaming. The plot, as far as I know, is about gun control. My mom was an extra in this film, and she was recruited from her acting school in Los Angeles. At the time, the title of the film was a work in progress. Her big scene was in a City Council meeting about gun control. Unfortunately, that's all I know. | Trying to find the title of a horror movie from the mid 80's to mid 90's where an evil woman took over an advertising or modeling agency and she was using her powers the make people there do all kinds of nasty things (deaths, sex in the open at the agency, etc). | I can't remember a modern movie from probably 2009-2011. It's about two best friends who share everything and do everything together. One meets a guy she really likes and they get to know each other, but her best friend comes along and sees them in a restaurant and she talks with him since she's more attractive and gets everything she wants. So the friend that was talking to the guy first decides to leave them because she feels out of the conversation. Then the guy comes running where she's going, since he likes her too, but hasn't confessed it to her. And he asks if it's okay if they stay talking and she says sure. They end up getting married and the friend arranges it even though she is still in love with the guy. She sleeps with him because they both got drunk at a bar and she feels like she's betrayed her best friend. The betrayed gets pregnant and the girl that was always in love with her true love ends up with him. The best friends are mostly separated, since the friend had found out her best friend had slept with husband. It ends with them seeing each other on the street and the girl pregnant. And she goes to walk off with her love. Takes place in New York, I think. I really don't remember the title. If anybody could help that would be great. | Answer |

| Looking for a movie I saw on TV about a little boy possibly abused by an alcoholic father. Runs away behind a fence to play with a little girl. Throughout entire movie, little girl is always there. | I'm looking for a black & white movie probably made in the 1940s. At the outset, a man and woman are together in a house/apartment during an air raid. They appear to be strangers who are caught in the raid. The woman is afraid of the bombs and the man calms her. As they talk, a romantic connection springs up. They go their own way after the raid, but the woman never forgets this brief encounter and in the future meets the man again at a cocktail party. However, he does not recognize her. | I am looking for the name of a movie I saw on TV probably in the early to mid-80s. All I remember is that it takes place on a ship that is having problems and may be sinking. There is a woman having an affair with a man and he kills her after using chloroform (or something similar) on her. I don't believe it is The Last Voyage because the synopses that I've read of that movie don't mention anything about the murder. I thought the name of the ship might be similar to the Andrea Doria but I can't find any movie actually set on her. Anyone have any ideas? | Answer |

| I'm chasing an old black and white movie about a man who takes part in robbing a jewellery(?) store. The store owner is killed in the robbery and he is put on the train track. In the process some identification of one of the robbers falls near the dead man and it's assumed that the robber is the dead man. The robber is so ashamed (and supposedly dead) that he never gets in touch with his family again. He hangs around town like a hobo while keeping one eye on his family growing up without him. The movie finishes with a really touching scene where the robber is looking through the window into his family home and seeing his wife and children sharing Christmas. | Answer |
| I'm looking for a TV movie, but I only remember certain parts. I think it might be a story set in the real world that parallels a fantasy world. I remember towards the end there is someone in the real world, possibly a mother, who is trying to drown someone in a bath tub. In the fantasy world, there is an evil queen who throws some sort of party and means to give all of the guests a potion that will kill them, but the potion gets switched out for a sleeping potion. | I do not have actors' names for the movie for which I am searching. I think it was done in the late 1990's or early 2000's. In the first scene a truck on a country/road in a Latin American country comes to a border checkpoint. The border agent takes a picture of one of the passengers, who unbeknownst to him is a revolutionary leader. Later, the border agent works for this country's police force and is hunting for this revolutionary. The agent has a daughter who takes dance lessons from the revolutionary leader's girlfriend. The agent falls in love with her not knowing her ties to the man he is hunting. Eventually the revolutionary is tacked down through his trash by a medicine he is using for a skin condition. | I only remember bits of the trailer for this British film of the...60s?. It's an espionage or a possible spy film that starts off by showing a man running down a street wearing a graduation cap & gown. A voice-over says (sic) "See this man? (THE IMAGE FREEZES - THEN CONTINUES) Very good. Carry on". He then is in a classroom with beautiful sexy girl students. He asks a question to the class and then, after they answer, he exclaims, "Right, my children!" | I'm looking for the title of an Indian movie. The story is told in a flashback, a conversation between an old man and an old woman. It starts out with the main character, a boy working in a labour camp with a girl. He then manages to escape, before which he promises that he'll meet her again, so that they can be together. He manages to become rich in carpeting, and she marries a wealthy man, when they meet a few more times. In the end it cuts back to real time, where everything is revealed. He walks off, and the grandmother tells her grandchildren that he was the man she was looking for all along. | My brother and I have been trying to remember the name of an animated children's movie we saw that was made possibly during the late 80s or early 90s. We can't remember the protagonists. However, we recall the antagonists being a man who I believe dressed in black and his daughter, who I think was named Ivy and wore a green dress. She was able to control vines.
