| 1 What is the name of the film inspired by Hansel & Gretel, made in the 1960's or 1970's? This movie was a suspense/thriller type movie, not made for children. From what I remember, the movie began as a group of unfortunate orphans who visited a woman in her large home for a Halloween party. Two children, a brother and a sister stowed away because they were not allowed to attend. When the party was over, these two children got left behind and were imprisoned by the woman of the house. The woman of the house previously had a daughter, who died by falling while sliding down the stair rail, and whose body was kept as a shrine. One night the woman touched her dead daughter's face, and it crumbled in her hands. The sister of the children who were held captive was a splitting image of the woman's dead daughter which is why she kept the children in her home. The film may have been made in the 1960's or 1970's, but I could be wrong about that. I have searched long and hard with zero luck. If anyone could shed some light on what the name of this film is, I would be most grateful. Submitted 7/01/09. | Answer |

| In the 50s, I saw a pirate film in which the leading man created a crew of international misfits. One of the pirates, in my memory, was a large (maybe mongol) gentleman whose only English was the two word exclamation "We go!" He used this prior to breaking down a door or taking on five other guys, etc. Can anyone tell me the name of this film? | Answer |
| Once saw on public tv only part of a movie that was a sprawling epic about Scandanavian or German immigrant steelworkers in the Midwest. A catch phrase, connecting or ending scenes, showed workers shoveling coal into a furnace with the foreman saying, "Let's make steel." Never saw the film pop up again, could never figure out what it was. Film seemed quite old. Anyone know the film? | Answer |
| I remember watching this movie about 30 years ago, when I was a kid. I remember a scene where a young girl is trying to show off for her sibling and his/her friends, so she puts her pet bird on the ground and tries to make it fly by throwing small pebbles at the bird. What the young girl actually does is pelt the bird to death. Does anyone know the name of this movie? | Answer |

| I only remember bits of the trailer for this British film of the 60s (???). It's an espionage or a possible spy spoof that starts by showing a man running down a street wearing a cap & gown. A voice-over says (sic) "See this man? Very good. Carry on". He then is in a classroom with beautiful sexy girl students. He asks a question to the class and then, after they answer, he exclaims, "Right, my children!" He then asks one beauty a personal question to which she replies (in letters) the man's name, which spells out on the screen AND is also the name of the film (???) Any help here? | Answer |
| Can't remember the title of a movie from the late 90's or early 00's. It was about a white teen that was forced to move to the ghetto in NYC with his mom after his parents split up. He got harassed by neighborhood kids who eventually became his friends. Anyone know this one? | Answer |
| Can't remember name of Indie romance, from about 1991. Saw it at Trolley Square in SLC, male lead present at screening; maybe a Sundance premiere? Romance set in rural lumber mill town in 1940's or so; daughter of mill owner won over by poor local man who lives in cabin in woods with dad, reads poetry by riverbank. Affair starts during storm in covered pedestrian bridge over the river. Her family objects, but film ends with couple in cabin with their little boys. Thought the name was "After the Rain" or something like that, but no luck finding it under that title. One of the dads was an older western character actor, looked like a thinner Pat Hingle, but must not be him, as not on his resume. Thanks for any leads. | Answer |

| This movie is about a boy who, after losing his father, moves into a house and finds a ventriloquist's dummy in the shed. The dummy then comes to life and claims to be the boy's dead father. | This is a movie I saw about ten years ago. I can't remember much at all, but I do remember the start, where a girl is lonely and sitting under a tree, a dinosaur (maybe T-Rex) and an audience watching a movie. If anyone has any other information or knows the title that would be great. | Answer |
| I remember watching a movie about a hotel on a beach. I think the hotel was in the shape of an X. At the end, a tidal wave swept the hotel away. Can anyone help me? | Answer |
| I am looking for the name of what was possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. The entire premise of the movie was a man being stuck in a box for the whole film. All I can remember is this guy trapped in a box on an airport tarmac, with rebel soldiers patrolling it and other cargo. The man in the box kept looking out through a peephole and at one stage a soldier almost notices him. This was the only memorable scene, as well as when a scorpion creeps inside the box with him. It seemed to be a U.S. TV movie from the 90's, and I keep thinking it is called Stowaway or something similar, but can't find any information on it anywhere. Does anyone know? | Answer |
| I am looking for a comedy (maybe from the late 80s?) where the male character checks for his wallet, keys, and balls (not necessarily in that order) before leaving his apartment. Does anyone know what movie that's from? | Answer |
| I am looking for the name of a movie about a Cambodian family that came to the States with an American family. The Cambodian family consisted of a mom and a few kids who did not know anything about American life. There was one scene where one of the kids was using the toilet by standing up on the rim. Another scene was one of the younger kids who freaked out at school and would not come out from under the table. And the last scene I remember is one of the older girls trying to come on to the American husband. Does this sound familiar to anyone? | Answer |
| For years I've been looking for a science fiction short movie that apparently made an impression on me when I was little. It was about a boy or girl on board a giant spaceship that had been out into space for a long time. In the end however, it was revealed that the spaceship had never left earth and was in fact still sitting in a hangar. I believe the movie was made in the early to mid 1980s. | Answer |
| This is a movie from the 70's or 80's, maybe. It's about a psychic man who can heal people, but he is often misunderstood and taken as a dangerous man. There is a scene where he shows his girlfriend how it feels to fly like an eagle, while on a picnic on the top of a mountain; her girlfriend gets terribly scared and never sees him again. Can you help me with the name of this film? | Answer |
| This movie is from the 70's or 80's I think. Its a kung fu movie. The movie begins on a beach scene with a little boy, his father and a third man. The third man kills the boy's father and then tells the little boy "Come with me and I will show you how to take your revenge". After this, the whole movie shows the little boy following the killer everywhere. During the movie the boy grows up and learns kung fu from his father's killer the entire time. What is this movie called? | Answer |
| The title of a "made for tv movie" based on the song "Killing Me Softly" where a women has someone stalking her. All I remember about the scene is she is in a grocery store parking lot and she drops a pint of ice cream and "he" picks it up for her and then he starts stalking her. | Answer |
