| What is the title of a movie (probably independent and Scottish) which I saw between '86-'90, about a boy living in a small fishing village and exhibiting kind of autistic behaviour? He lay in rock pools and said "I want to be a boat" a lot. Also had conflict with the local minister as I remember. I don't remember much else. | Answer |
| I saw a horror movie when I was a kid in the 1980's. I remember a scene in the movie where a guy is confronted by ghosts/zombies or some kind of monster everywhere he turns. I believe this happens near the end of the movie. I believe the movie was made either in the late 70's or early 80's, I was very young when I saw it. I remember one of the monsters was a female with a greenish looking face and reddish colored hair. Can anyone help me find the title of this movie? | Answer |
| I saw a horror movie back in the 80's when I was a kid, and I don't remember what it was called. The only scene I can remember involves some teens walking up the steps of an old, haunted looking house. When they get to the door, someone opens the door and pulls the head off of one of the boys. | There was a film I used to see in school in the early 80's with a "Back to the Future" element. It was about a teen aged girl who had differences with her mother. One day she woke up (on the subway?), and she had travelled back in time to where she meets her teen mother. Slowly, she comes to realize that her mom is not all that different from her. There was a desk with a secret compartment her mom hid things in, which the girl uses to confirm her experience wasn't just a dream. And I recall the time travel episode ended with an air raid siren going off. Anyone know the title? | Answer |
| The film ends with a black woman on the porch of a Caribbean-style home, singing a very sweet reggae song but as far as I can recall neither she nor the song had anything to do with the plot of the film. Does anyone recognise this or did I dream it? | Answer |

| I used to have nightmares about this movie from the 70's. I think the opening scene was a funeral of a rich man. In the movie we find that his wife had been cheating on him, possibly with his doctor. The creepy mansion (lots of red velvet) had portraits on the wall that had eyes that would move and watch the wife. I think in the end we find out that the creepy things happening in the mansion are being caused by the dead guy. Please help with the title of the movie. | Answer |
| I am looking for the title of a movie from about ten years ago. The opening scene has two detectives, I think, in a car. The driver is a black male and the passenger is a white female. I think they are on a bridge and something happens and the woman ends up being decapitated. It was a shocking opening scene but I didn't get to see the rest of the movie. | Answer |
| There is a movie made possibly in the 80's and I must know the title. I do not know any of the actors. What I do remember is there is a blond boy with glasses, a violent man who goes into hiding, and a girl who is looking for the guy in hiding. The boy, at one point, steals from a store (like scissors) and gives them as Christmas gifts. I remember he had pet mice later to find them dead, or killed. So he makes little graves for them. Another part I remember is when the violent guy takes the blond kid and his little brother to an ice cream shop. When the blond kid runs to find the police, he comes back to find his little brother bleeding on the head and crying. The last part I remember is when a girl finds out the blond kid knows the whereabouts of the violent guy. He shows the girl and she goes to meet the violent guy. The kid watches through a window while apparently the girl and the guy have sex. Suggestions? | Answer |
| High school kids. Definitely 80s due to the hair style. The only part I remember is this guy gets a homely looking girl. These hairsprayed girls get jealous and when the girl gets asked to take the class role to the office, they attack her. One of the hairspray girls pulls out what looks like a lipstick but is actually a cutting tool. I have no idea who the actors are. | Answer |
| Does anyone remember a movie from the 60's that had a couple haunted by a ghost who owned a boat. It was sort of a black comedy. I kept thinking it was The Ghost and Mrs Muir, but it is not. | I'm looking for a movie, which I think is some kind of murder mystery where an actress is killed, and it's either an old movie or a movie set in the past. The investigator goes through her room where there are posters for plays the actress had been in. There is something significant about one of the girl's dresses found in the closet. It might be a blue dress, and the investigator or someone might end up wearing it at some point. There were also scenes from a film projector. Any help finding this will be appreciated. | Answer |

| I saw a movie when I was a kid in the early to mid 70s.The story was about a couple who were having a pool or something built in their backyard.The people building it discovered an old box or suitcase that held an old miniature horse or other small toy animal that came to life and started to attack them.Can anyone help out with the name of it. | Answer |
| I think this may have been an episode from a sci fi/horror anthology show from the 1970's. A young girl has a doll house that is a replica of the house she is living in and a doll for each member of the family. The dolls were very strange looking. Kind of round and flat. Whatever she made the dolls do, the family member did the same. One night the house caught fire and she dropped a doll while getting out. I think it was either the doll for her grandfather or uncle. | Looking for a movie (believe it was made in the 1980's) about an older woman (thought it was Olympia Dukakis) who is alone (either divorced or widowed) that lives for a short while in her son's basement, then travels to Australia. To her daughter's dismay (the daughter is all wrapped up in her husband's political campaign/career), she drives a long road across Australia all by herself. She encounters various people on her journey, stays for a brief period with a man, helping him with his remote gas station, then travels on. She meets an older gentleman that has an RV or trailer and finds some companionship with him. In one part she was lying in bed with presumably her husband and when she turned round it was him who sat up in the bed beside her. | I am looking for an English film from the 60's or 70's. The only two things I can remember is that there is a soccer game at a boys' school and a player is injured, at which point the officials rush in and after it cuts to the bystanders you hear the injured player being shot. The other is that one character drives his car into an underground tunnel which ends up parking his car in his living room. | Answer |
