| There was a cheesy comedy I recall seeing on cable once years ago, involving a girl's interaction with a group of girls (maybe a sorority). The devil had wanted to tempt the lead character with some sort of deal and I believe one was made; but, ultimately because some other girl was jealous she ended up taking her place. At the end the "bad" girl ended up being transformed and married to the devil. Does anyone know the name of this movie? | Answer |
| I've been trying to identify this movie for ages. It's possibly made-for-TV, probably from the 70s. A man (with a moustache) has been working on an advanced computer called "Choo Choo". At the end, by a shack, he finds a piece of it on the ground and breaks down in tears saying "Choo Choo" repeatedly. I can't remember any more of the plot than that. | Answer |
| I am wanting to find the title to a movie, which I believe was made in the mid to late 1990's. It was about a group of misfits/slackers that lived in a big old house with a lot of other people. They even had hippies living in tents in the back yard. They called the house "Sam" and when they ended up moving into a trailer, they called it the "Son of Sam". I would love to know what movie this is, as I would like to see it again. I can't remember any of the actors in it. If you know this movie please post the name and some of the actors names. Thanks in advance. | Answer |
| Can anyone tell me the title of a fantasy/sci fi TV movie that aired on Nickelodeon at least once in the late 1990s with a plot involving a brother and sister in a ravaged ghetto like city full of corruption where they lived with their grandfather. People there are taken for bizarre mind experiments all the time, so the grandfather send them on a journey through a desert to find some utopia like haven. The grandfather can't go because of his failing health. The brother and sister set off, all the while being chased by the evil authorities. Along the way, they pick up a few friends, including a couple younger boys, a teen-aged desert drifter, a big bald guy, and a girl from the city who lost her boyfriend to the evil mind experiments. After escaping capture at least once, they make their way through a maze filled with poison gas and find a beautiful safe haven on a beach to live happily ever after. Last image being a grave stone/monument on the beach engraved with the grandfather's name. Do you know the title? Thank you. | Answer |
| I once saw a trailer for a movie that was about a young man moving to NYC to attend college. It is not mainstream; it may be a low budget independent film. I can't remember exactly why, but he could not afford college or living and he resorts to selling drugs for money. The trailer emphasizes how he was desperately trying to keep up with the drugs and city life in order to make it. The only part I can remember vividly is the main character in his dorm room with a duffel bag and he has straight hair possibly light brown. Sorry I can't remember any more details, but I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me the title. Does anyone recall such a film? | Answer |
| I'm looking for the title of a movie which I saw some years ago. It is set on the Pacific Ocean, in the 19th century. A group of rogues under the command of an old, bitter captain sails with the cargo of alcohol. During the sailing, the ship starts to sink, and the crew realizes that all the bottles are empty and it's some kind of insurance fraud, planned by the shipowner. Eventually they land on some desolate island, with only two inhabitants - an owner of a plantation and some girl. As it turns out, the grower (after some disease) puts all other inhabitants on the ship, sets it on fire and burns them out. In the end almost everyone is killed. Generally, this movie is in the vein of Joseph Conrad novels. I'd be grateful if anyone can help me. | Answer |
| I'm looking for the title of a movie I saw a very long time ago. It was probably filmed in the late fifties or early sixties and in color. The story is about a man who gets trapped in a house with a weird family. One of the family members is building an ark in the backyard. One by one the family members get murdered. In the end, the murderer turns out to be the only girl who seemed normal in the family. | Answer |
| I'm looking for the tile of a movie that takes place in a small town. A woman is murdered by a biker gang and returns from the dead to help the local sheriff, when the gang returns to town. The woman and sheriff were a couple. The local waitress was in love with the sheriff. The waitress, corrupt deputies and the biker gang all try to kill her. | Answer |
| This is a movie preview that I saw on a VHS tape of another movie (I don't remember which). At the beginning of the preview, a man is narrating and he says something like, "In my life, I have killed [some number] of men, some of them just boys." Does anyone know what movie this might be? I think it was based on the true story of a serial killer, but I'm not sure. It is probably a movie that came out in the 90s. | Answer |
| I should probably remember the name of this movie but just can't. There's a kid - Andy - Uncle Blane, a nanny, and Ms. Guinness. The boy's mother fell and died and he thinks he can see her ghost. It might be quite obvious - any help? | Answer |
| 1 What is the name of the film inspired by Hansel & Gretel, made in the 1960's or 1970's? This movie was a suspense/thriller type movie, not made for children. From what I remember, the movie began as a group of unfortunate orphans who visited a woman in her large home for a Halloween party. Two children, a brother and a sister stowed away because they were not allowed to attend. When the party was over, these two children got left behind and were imprisoned by the woman of the house. The woman of the house previously had a daughter, who died by falling while sliding down the stair rail, and whose body was kept as a shrine. One night the woman touched her dead daughter's face, and it crumbled in her hands. The sister of the children who were held captive was a splitting image of the woman's dead daughter which is why she kept the children in her home. The film may have been made in the 1960's or 1970's, but I could be wrong about that. I have searched long and hard with zero luck. If anyone could shed some light on what the name of this film is, I would be most grateful. Submitted 7/01/09. | Answer |

| In the 50s, I saw a pirate film in which the leading man created a crew of international misfits. One of the pirates, in my memory, was a large (maybe mongol) gentleman whose only English was the two word exclamation "We go!" He used this prior to breaking down a door or taking on five other guys, etc. Can anyone tell me the name of this film? | Answer |
| I only remember bits of the trailer for this British film of the 60s (???). It's an espionage or a possible spy spoof that starts by showing a man running down a street wearing a cap & gown. A voice-over says (sic) "See this man? Very good. Carry on". He then is in a classroom with beautiful sexy girl students. He asks a question to the class and then, after they answer, he exclaims, "Right, my children!" He then asks one beauty a personal question to which she replies (in letters) the man's name, which spells out on the screen AND is also the name of the film (???) Any help here? | Answer |
| Can't remember the title of a movie from the late 90's or early 00's. It was about a white teen that was forced to move to the ghetto in NYC with his mom after his parents split up. He got harassed by neighborhood kids who eventually became his friends. Anyone know this one? | Answer |
| Can't remember name of Indie romance, from about 1991. Saw it at Trolley Square in SLC, male lead present at screening; maybe a Sundance premiere? Romance set in rural lumber mill town in 1940's or so; daughter of mill owner won over by poor local man who lives in cabin in woods with dad, reads poetry by riverbank. Affair starts during storm in covered pedestrian bridge over the river. Her family objects, but film ends with couple in cabin with their little boys. Thought the name was "After the Rain" or something like that, but no luck finding it under that title. One of the dads was an older western character actor, looked like a thinner Pat Hingle, but must not be him, as not on his resume. Thanks for any leads. | Answer |
| 1960s or 1970s movie. Teenage brother and sister forced to leave their home because of finances. The sister is forced to sell her horse/pony. They look for their father or some other relative. The brother meets a girl, possibly French. Possibly British or American movie. | Answer |
| This is a movie I saw about ten years ago. I can't remember much at all, but I do remember the start, where a girl is lonely and sitting under a tree, a dinosaur (maybe T-Rex) and an audience watching a movie. If anyone has any other information or knows the title that would be great. | Answer |
| I remember watching a movie about a hotel on a beach. I think the hotel was in the shape of an X. At the end, a tidal wave swept the hotel away. Can anyone help me? | Answer |
| I am looking for the name of what was possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. The entire premise of the movie was a man being stuck in a box for the whole film. All I can remember is this guy trapped in a box on an airport tarmac, with rebel soldiers patrolling it and other cargo. The man in the box kept looking out through a peephole and at one stage a soldier almost notices him. This was the only memorable scene, as well as when a scorpion creeps inside the box with him. It seemed to be a U.S. TV movie from the 90's, and I keep thinking it is called Stowaway or something similar, but can't find any information on it anywhere. Does anyone know? | Answer |
