Question
I saw an animated film when I was very young. Mid-to-late 80's most likely. I remember very little of it. I don't want to say it was set in the medieval era, but it was set before the industrial revolution at least. There was a young boy whose brother left home to serve in the navy, I believe, and when he returned the younger brother believed him to be under some sort of enchantment. He goes on a quest to free his brother from the spell, told he must reach the end of the earth to do so. When he gets to what he thinks is the edge of the earth, it's just a beach with a lot of debris on the shore line. I remember a broken chair for some reason being among the debris. Not that it was an important item, just that it was there. Eventually he finds the witch who cast the spell in her palace. There is some sort of battle. In the witch's death scene, it shows the hallway she is in breaking apart stone by stone, as the witch dissolves and lets out an ethereal scream. If anyone has any idea at all what I'm talking about I'd be forever grateful. Answer
My sister and I are dying to remember a "wacky-teacher-inspires-bad-students" TV movie set in an urban high school. Probably mid/late 80s; the teacher was a Cyndi Lauper/Annie Potts-type. In the story's climax, she and her students paint a gorgeous multi-story mural (a phoenix?) on the wall of a graffitied slum building. Answer
I am looking for a movie title. I was younger than 6 when I saw this movie. The premise: Mad scientist is trying to transport people through tubes. His experiments are not working and the people come out the other end as blobs/dead. To do his experiments he is using mad people with deformities, people who are locked in cells who can't be in the world. One malformed woman escapes and wreaks havoc on the area. I am thinking it was made in the 30's to early 40's. In the end of the movie there is a large greenhouse with glass walls and some sort of vine grows all over it and somehow kills the people. Answer
I saw a movie quite a few years ago about a man getting killed by accident before his wedding and he fights against death, then comes back for his girlfriend, but she gets killed just after the man gains his life back. Can anyone tell me the name of this movie? Answer
I am looking for an animated children's film from the late 80s early 90s. The only scene I remember is a woman sitting up on a throne of desserts and a song about getting their "just dessert". Answer
I am trying to find the name of a film that came out in the 70s or 80s. I only saw the end but this is what I remember. It's about a dirtroad race in which everyone drives a 4 wheel drive or similar. The two leading drivers are adversaries. At one point, one of the vehicles breaks down and the driver's girlfriend gets out and kisses the other one hoping to get a ride but he drives off. At the end when the last vehicle approaches the finish line, his car turns over and does this incredibly long roll over the finish line. As one of the spectators runs up to him and ask if he is okay, his hand which is stretched outside the window gives a thumbs up. As the final credits roll, it freeze-frames on this one image. Any help would be appreciated. Answer
I'm looking for the title of a movie I saw on TV in the late 90s. From what I can remember of the plot it was set sometime in the future in a post-apocalyptic? world. There were no more children because having sex resulted in the couple dying (I think it was due to getting some fatal disease which infects people if they have sex and I think once the couple got it, they would be contagious to other people they come in contact with). This meant that males and females were living separately to prevent anyone from having sex and killing others. I think I also remember these groups of males and females were fighting each other over resources and such sort of like some kind of gender war. The actual movie story seemed to follow some guy who was younger than everyone else and an older guy who was around the same age as everyone else. The older guy didn't believe that the younger guy was so young because it would mean he was born after this disease or whatever it is preventing people having sex occurred. But the younger guy claims he comes from a group of people who have managed to create a vaccine? or something like that that prevents the disease or whatever it was from occurring when people have sex. I think I can remember a scene where you saw a group of men finding a village with children and such and deciding to kill them all because they thought that they were all diseased and dangerous since that meant they would have had sex (and I think it's implied that this is where the younger guy came from). In another scene the younger guy and older guy mentioned earlier were going to test the vaccine on some couple they caught but then that's all I saw. This is only the beginning part of the movie as I didn't see the whole thing so not sure if there's anything else significant that happens later in the movie. Answer
I remember an episode of Looney Tunes or Merry Melodies which I can't remember its name; throughout the entire episode, a wolf is following Little Red Riding Hood to her grandma's house and keeps seeing this little fellow with a funny walk and a big nose (I think it's egghead but I'm not sure) who passes through the scene and whistles a tune. At the end, after reaching grandma's house, he sees the whistling guy once again and asks who he is. The guy knocks him out with a large hammer and says: "I'm a hunter". Can someone please tell me the name of that episode? Answer
Trying to remember the title of a movie. Its animated, intelligent and most likely in the Drama-genre. Its got like 4 or 5 main characters. And a key sentence that gets brought up is "Less Theory, More Action" . Also, one of the scenes is them trying to explain dreams, and goes like "To figure out if you're awake or its a dream, try turning off the light switch in a room, the lights don't change by a switch in a dream." Time range of production, 2002-2008 maybe? Anyone seen it? Know the title? Answer
Hi, I'm looking for a tv commercial that aired in the 1980's. (Browsing your site it looks like you do commercials as well as movies and tv.) Anyway, it was a pizza delivery commercial (possibly Domino's) that took place in a haunted house. The only scenes I remember are the pizza delivery boy crossing a pit of snakes and having to choose one of three doors. As I recall, the commercial ended with the delivery boy still stuck in the haunted house. Do you have any information on this? What I mostly remember is being so scared as a child that I had to leave the room whenever the commercial aired. Answer
Does anyone know the title to this movie I saw sometime in the 70's. It is a western that ends with a shootout between a posse and the couple they are pursuing. The couple is huddled low while the man is shooting. After the man is killed, the posse calls to the woman to surrender. Instead, she grabs the rifle and continues the fight. She is quickly killed and slumps over dramatically. Answer
I remember watching a film in which a girl, another girl, and the father of one of them get into a car accident. One girl survives and she has to have her face reconstructed. The doctors end up making her look like the other girl that was in the car. I've searched Google and IMDB with no luck. Answer
About 23 years ago, I remember seeing a movie in the theater. It was a horror movie. I can remember certain events happening in the movie. A head gets blown up in a microwave, a circular saw flies through the air and kills somebody. I think all of these things take place in an old house. I vaguely remember an old pier leading out to a pond that somebody may have been killed on. I thought at first the name of the movie was something like "Superstition", but I have searched and searched and cannot find anything on this movie. Any ideas would be appreciated. Answer
I wanted to know the title of a movie. I am not sure when it was produced but I watched it a lot back in the mid - late '80s. The only scene I can remember is one where a dwarf or smaller individual finds a ring with a green stone in the mouth of a gargoyle and goes running because the queen would be so happy that he found the ring. It is not animated. I have been trying to figure this out for years. Answer
Would like to know the title of a movie, probably from the 70s or early 80s, in which a car crashes into a tanker truck and becomes covered in a molten cheese-like substance. There may also have been a scene with a room full of balloons. This question was already asked and answered, but it is not Modern Problems (1981) as was suggested. Thanks for the help. Answer
Would like to know the title of a comedy, probably from the 90s or early 00s, in which a cop asks for a blond Asian woman. This question was already asked and answered, but it is not Senior Trip (1995) as was suggested. Thanks for any help. Answer
My inquiry is about a thriller of the 70's or 80's. The action takes place in the slums of an American city, among young people with marginal problems, organizing and easily falling into gangs and crime. There is one detail I remember, that is a cop who is chewing gum all the time, and some brothers, one of whom is led to pay for the problems that arise with the law because of the criminal behavior of others. Eventually the police agent, sympathetic to the situation, lets go (in an uncovered train wagon) the brother who was unjustly implicated. Towards the end of the film there are night scenes on the top of the terrace of an apartment building where lived one or some of the brothers (can not remember more). Answer
In 1992 I saw an American comedy film on tv where one scene had a man in glasses (one of the main characters) who was going to be shot by a firing squad of 5 soldiers, but they never got to kill him. He ended up kissing a woman in a white nurse-type uniform. In another scene a blonde woman gets handcuffed to a fat man in a business suit & they end up kissing. The end of the film features them standing together talking facing the camera - I think he dresses in a military uniform. What is the film? Thanks. Answer
I believe this was a tv special about the importance of voting that aired between 1994 and 2000. It was a story about a family that returned to the USA from some place that didn't get news so they didn't know anything had happened. I can really only remember specific scenes. One was the father walking down the street and being asked by a soldier or cop if he had voted yet. When he says no he is taken to vote. Voting is just putting a piece of paper in a clear box, one marked yes and the other no. It is obvious from the soldier's attitude and the lack of paper in the no box that he had to vote yes. The other scene is when the family tries to get out of the country. They are stopped by the government and told they can leave if the son donated a kidney or something to and injured influential supporter of the president. That's all I have. I can picture the father in my mind and I know he has been in other tv shows but I just can't remember. I could have sworn that at the end Robert Urich came out and talked about the importance of voting and freedom but nothing comes up on his imdb page. Answer
I'm trying to remember a cartoon I had a tape of when I was younger. It involved a live action cat and dog, where the dog chased the cat around while the cats (and possibly the dogs) thoughts were voice acted, and then the cat would hide somewhere and fantasise about beating the dog in various situations. The show would then switch to animation with the cat taking the role of various pop culture icons, such as batman or captain kirk and fighting a version of the dog in the cartoon. Then the show would go back to live action and the dog would be chased away somehow. Answer
