Question: Why not just try every way possible (physically or spiritually, for example, pour holy water on them) destroy all of the tapes. Thus ending the cruse forever? Will that just make things worst?

Titanic

Answer: Destroying the only copy won't work because Samara can make copies with her supernatural powers. If destroying the copies could work her father would already had done it before.

Chosen answer: Destroying the only copy of the tape would prevent the curse from spreading, but the last person to see it who didn't make another would still die seven days out.

Phixius

I think this is the best answer. Also, at the end of the Japanese original movie, it says " - you have to copy it and show it to someone else within one week. And this someone else has to do the same. - So it never ends? - That's right, it goes on and on. But if you don't want to die, you'll do it, won't you?" This last sentence is so well said.

Question: Why did Rango's eyes never work independently from each other like a normal Chameleon? I think it would have added a bit more humour to the movie.

Rayza

Chosen answer: For the same reason he can talk and wear clothes: To make him identifiable to the audience, especially kids. Independently working eyes would have been funny, but would work best as a side or supporting character than the main character. It's important for the audience to identify with the hero, so they make him as human as they need to.

Garlonuss

Question: On their helmets were two torches (flashlights). The bigger light had two options, an LED cluster and a standard bulb. Wouldn't the battery have lasted longer if they chose the LED option?

Rayza

Chosen answer: Being someone who uses the PETZL Duo headtorch (the light used in this movie) I can say that yes, the LED option lasts MUCH longer than the standard bulb.

Braddles

Question: Optimus refers to two autobots called "wreckers". Are these two autobots Bulkhead and Wheeljack? There aren't mention by name, so I was wondering.

Carl Missouri

Chosen answer: No. In Dark of the Moon, the Wreckers are the three NASCAR Autobots. Their names are Roadbuster, Leadfoot and Topspin.

GalahadFairlight

Question: If the shields on the collector were down while Data was flying the Captain's Launch, why not use that ship to destroy the collector?

jbrbbt

Chosen answer: Probably because the best he'd be able to do is damage the collector, not destroy it.

JC Fernandez

Question: Why does Sully get surprised at the end of the movie when he sees Boo?

Answer: He's not as much surprised as he is pleased to see her. She's going to be a little older than when he last saw her because it took Mike so long to rebuild the door. So if he's surprised, it may be at how much she's grown in that time period.

MovieFan612

Question: *Spoiler* What is the weapon that Sentinel Prime uses to kill Ironhide? It seems that all of the other Transformer weapons fire explosives or bullets, but his seemed to disintegrate Ironhide after he shot him.

Answer: the weapon is called an "Acid Rust Blaster" which seems to be similar to the cosmic rust seen in the animated series. the rust eats away at the Transformer's metal body.

Question: Why is Charles okay with Mystique joining Magneto's side? They're supposed to be brother and sister but he doesn't even attempt to talk her out of it.

THGhost

Chosen answer: He's not okay with it, but he knows that Erik's views appeal strongly to her. To all intents and purposes, she's already made her decision - to try to stop her would likely only lead to an argument, which is not how he'd want them to part. Plus there is the somewhat major side issue that Charles has just been shot, so it's not really the right time for a discussion on conflicting mutant philosophies.

Tailkinker

Question: Donna is a very musical person because he has Sam's bagpipes and Harry's guitar. But why wouldn't the men just keep the instruments themselves?

Shadow5

Chosen answer: As it was never specifically discussed in the movie, nobody really knows. However, I would imagine it was because she wanted something to remember them by. Or they wanted to give those items to her so she would remember them. Or maybe they wanted to think of her having these prized possessions of theirs. The guitar was actually purchased for Donna.

Kimberly Mason

Question: The film is frequently criticized for its inconsistencies involving the competence of the aliens and their allergies to water. Has M. Night Shyamalan ever responded to these criticisms?

Answer: No, he never has.

MasterOfAll

Chosen answer: What about choosing not to cook precludes owning a recipe book? I'd guess Zinnia bought it simply because it's the type of thing a housewife would own. Or I suppose there's a chance Matilda, who is very resourceful and very fond of books, procured one herself from the library or elsewhere.

Phixius

Answer: As said in the comment above, it is also mentioned in the book that she procured it from the library, and was very fond about learning how to cook.

Chosen answer: Gunther is rather particular about his appearance, keeping his hair carefully cut and colored, and is always wearing well chosen shirts and ties. This is what is commonly referred today as being "metro-sexual" which a lot of people consider to be gay. Gay men (stereotypically) are particular about how they look, so she just assumes. Also, since he is SO in love with Rachel, he doesn't have other relationships to prove her opinion incorrect because he is always hoping she will be single soon and notice him. Who can say why he is so in love with Rachel. Why does ANYONE love someone else? Infatuation? Her looks? Her personality? We will never know. Love is funny that way.

Question: Was there any point to Zam Wesell being a changeling? She reveals herself to be one to Anakin when he is on top of her speeder and when she is hiding from the two Jedi in the bar, she makes absolutely no effort to disguise herself.

S. Ha

Chosen answer: Being a changeling would make her job as an assassin easier, however, Anakin and Obi-Wan were in hot pursuit and she had no time to remove her armor, which presumably would not also change with her, so there would be no point in changing her appearance, as they'd recognize her armor.

Captain Defenestrator

Question: What happened to the Mondoshawan trapped inside the temple at the beginning of the film? When we see the temple again towards the end of the film it isn't there anymore. Did it get out? If so, how?

THGhost

Chosen answer: The Mondoshawan died. It was moved out of the temple room by David while he was preparing for the arrival of the heroes.

LorgSkyegon

Answer: The opening scene happens 300 years before our heroes and story line kicks in, as it tells us on screen when we switch the 'present'. So, it stands to reason that the large metal bodies were removed or collected by the Priesthood of that time, and maybe a few after - did you see the size of those things? Plus there were a lot of them. It does seem to imply their death, the heroic sacrifice for life. But I've never fully bought that. The big metal beastie gives the priest the key, which the 'present' priest 300 yrs later has. I'm sure the first priest and his buddies (or a posse of Egyptian child labor candidates) pried that door open and got them out. Dead or alive. There's no way that skinny, awkward, priest kid in training would have been able to clean all that up on his own. Nor do I think they would have just left the big mess of dead aliens for 300yrs.

Chosen answer: Stewie himself has explained to Brian that of the immediate family, only Brian can always understand him. The others, especially Lois, seem to get a vague impression of how he is feeling but do not hear the words. Most other characters can understand him, whenever it's convenient or needed for the story. A few times his parents can understand him, for comedic purposes.

Answer: Yes, everyone can understand and hear him, no one other than other babies and Brian takes him seriously because of the fact that he's a baby. This was stated by Seth MacFarlane.

Answer: Chris understands Stewie as well.

The Producers (1) - S6-E16

Question: At the beginning of the episode, I've never got what Niles meant to this question by Fran. Does this mean he always liked C.C. or maybe that, but didn't know it? "Are you telling me all those years you put dishwasher water in her coffee, you changed her lip balm for glue stick and called her a COW you were FLIRTING?!" "What, no good?"

*BleuFever

Chosen answer: Fran is still incredulous at the idea of Niles being in love with C.C. Niles' response is his typical sarcasm.

Question: Since Bartleby has a talent for computer skills (creating a bogus website, fake IDs), why didn't those skills help him apply to a good college?

Answer: His friend is the one that created the website and all the necessary documents for the fake school. Even if his friend was able to create such a website, this wouldn't change his transcript from high school, which would negate any abilities used to apply to another school. No matter how creative you are in falsifying documents and websites, you can't change your school transcript unless you hack the schools records, and maybe they drew the line at that. He DID apply to many colleges and was rejected by them all, as demonstrated by the beginning of the movie.

Question: This is more of a question about adoption, but if Juno decided later that she wanted to know how the baby was doing, could she just ask Vanessa, or does she have to go through a procedure to receive updates on the baby?

Answer: That would depend on how far Vanessa was going to go to keep the adoption closed. She would obviously be PHYSICALLY able to ask questions, but if it is truly closed, Vanessa would be under no obligation to give info. But since she had welcomed Juno into her home, and gave personal info, I would think she would be willing to offer some information in the future. We never did see the outcome of the final adoption documents, it is possible it was partially open, since Juno developed a relationship with Vanessa eventually. Usually a closed adoption blocks the birth mother from knowing any personal info of the adoptive parents, but she knows the name and address, so this case is obviously different than the norm.

Kimberly Mason

Question: Evil tells of his assistants, "tell me about computers". And he later says, "show me subscriber trunk dialing". Why does such a powerful entity have an interest in technology? (01:30:45 - 01:31:35)

Chosen answer: This technology may pose a threat, as a counter, to Evil's magic, or it could be used to enhance his own powers.

Phixius

Answer: Remember his whole speech about technology being his version of the universe, while the Supreme Being concentrated on nature?

Brian Katcher

Question: Hobbs tells Toretto that when he found the tracking device on his car he was able to locate the receiver. How is that possible? I suppose a "receiver" does only receive and not send any data out.

Answer: We may assume in this case the 'receiver' sends out a search signal out into the world, when that signal reaches the tracker, the tracker sends back a response to the 'receiver' So it may be possible to track a receiver as stated in the movie.
