Edit

Mistake Continuity: At the end of the movie when Michael chases the delivery truck in a red Ford Contour, he crashes into a bus and the car spins several times. If you watch closely you can see that after the crash the left headlight is very badly damaged and the right one is missing, but the next scene shows the car almost undamaged.

Edit

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Tim Robbins is helping the kid of Jeff Bridges with his baseball practice, he is talking to Jeff outside of the practice area. He swings a little with a bat and then leave the bat resting on his left shoulder, then the shot is from a different angle and the bat is resting on his right shoulder.

Edit

Mistake Continuity: One for car freaks : In the car pursuit towards the end of the film, two different model years of the same car (Ford Contour) are used. After taking a turn in the '97 version, the next one is taken in the quite differently styled '98 model

Mistake Continuity: At the beginning, when the boy is injured and walking down the road, he starts dripping blood. A large drop falls on his left runner - next shot it is completely gone.

Edit

Mistake Continuity: Towards the end of the movie, during a fight scene between Jeff Bridges & Tim Robbins, Tim Robbins has a bloody face in one scene and the next time you see him, his face has hardly any blood on it.  The scene after that, the blood is back on his face.

Edit

Mistake Factual error: The scene where Michael frantically arrives at the FBI headquarters, he drives the Contour up over the movable vehicle barrier. The movable vehicle barriers that are in place at the FBI headquarters, both pre and post 9/11, are steel ramp type barriers angled upward toward the entering car and lowered when needed. The ramps are about as high as the top of the Contour's hood and the Contour would have just gotten wedged under the opening of the barrier ramp. And there wasn't enough of a "ramp" in front of the barrier to floor it and jump the car over the barrier (ala Dukes Of Hazzard), hence the barrier system would really work.

Mistake Continuity: When Jeff Bridges leaves the home of Dean's father he takes a Taxi wearing glasses. When he gets into the Taxi he's not wearing them.
