Mistake Continuity: When Anne takes the gift from Rachel and leaves, a couple of moments later you can see the red-wrapped package is still sitting on the table next to Rachel.

Mistake Other: When Marilla shows Anne to her room, Anne's hat brushes Marilla's face. As Marilla turns you can plainly see that she is having a hard time trying not to burst out laughing.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene when Diana is invited to tea and then Anne follows her home after Diana has become drunk, Anne's tights change colors, from black to white several times.

Mistake Continuity: When Mr. Philips has Anne write lines on the board, in the first shot the 's' in Shirley is cursive, and in the second shot, it's printed.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When Anne is at the train station waiting for Matthew to pick her up, you can see the camera crew reflection in the station window.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene when Anne is taking out the plum pudding sauce, there is no brown paper on the table, however, when she dishes the mouse out, the brown paper conveniently appears.

Mistake Other: When Matthew and Anne first arrive at Green Gables, the person playing Matthew is not Richard Farnsworth, but a stunt double whose hair is quite obviously shorter than Mr. Farnsworth's. The stand-in's face is clearly seen as he walks around the carriage (Anne is in the foreground, close up). The stand-in is still taking Mr. Farnsworth's place as he walks Anne to the front door. The shorter hair is obvious in this view of his back.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Gilbert and Anne are talking on the shore after the "Lily Maid" incident, Anne's hair is considerably wetter than it was when Gilbert picked her up in the water.
