Factual error: In the movie Borat is supposed to be staying at the Wellington in NY. However, when the manager comes to give him the telegram that his wife had died, the name tag says the Wingate hotel.
Trivia
The participants of this 'mockumentary' (none of whom were in on the joke) were all made to sign a release form so that the film makers could use the footage. In spite of this, several of those interviewed have since made unsuccessful attempts to sue the distribution company for fraud and defamation. Continuity: In the scene where Borat wrestles his fat Kazakh friend he is sitting on Borat's face at one point. When he gets up you can see a yellow cloth between Borat's face and the man's ass for a second where the scene was obviously edited.
Factual error: Borat and Azmat are depicted having entered Atlanta and getting off at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. which runs East and West. Atlanta does not have a road named "Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd." The MLK in Atlanta is "Martin Luther King Junior Drive"
Continuity: When Borat arrives at the airport, he is coming down the escalator and there are several people immediately in front of him. The shot jumps to when he is closer to the bottom, yet the people who were immediately in front of him are not on the escalator nor are they even within the vicinity of the escalator.
