Mistake Continuity: During the bus accident , Richard Kimble is handcuffed. When the bus is falling, you can see that he has no handcuffs on, but then when he asks the driver to uncuff him again, he has them back on.

Mistake Continuity: When Richard Kimble is walking, there is one shot of him walking into a train tunnel. The camera is mounted on top of a train and the train is clearly visible at the bottom of the screen. You see the train for a few seconds and then you see the shot focusing in on Richard, as if they've just discovered their mistake.

Mistake Continuity: When the bus full of prisoners rolls down the embankment, it finishes up lying parallel to the train track. Yet in the next scene, the bus is clearly lying across the train track.

Mistake Continuity: In one scene, the ambulance is clearly marked FDNY even though the action takes place in Chicago.

Mistake Other: When Dr. Nichols hits Dr. Kimble with a chair, look carefully. As Dr. Nichols swings the chair, it starts falling apart before it even makes makes contact with Harrison.

Mistake Continuity: When Richard Kimble and the one armed man are fighting in the train, it shows from the outside of the train the one armed man stumbling backward. It shows his "prosthetic" hand grabbing for the pole.

Mistake Other: After Kimble has been rescued from the train wreck and unchained, he escapes, running alongside a body of water. As Gerard announces to the other officers that there's a fugitive on the loose and gives instructions, Kimble is seen running again, in a replay of the earlier shot. Not only are all the same landmarks in place, but at the end of both sequences, he moves his arm to shake off a branch that's snagged him.

Mistake Continuity: When Kimble is fighting the one-armed man on the train, the one-armed man shoots the metro-cop, then he and Kimble fight some more. Kimble knocks him out with his gun (silver). He goes to check on the cop, sees he's dead so he takes his cuffs and gun (black). He cuffs the one-armed man to the rail puts his gun (silver) into his right pocket, and the cops gun (black) into his left pocket, and then makes his escape. Later on, he dumps the guns into a mailbox, but he pulls the silver gun out of his left pocket, and the black gun out of his right pocket. The guns changed pockets before he dumped them.

Mistake Continuity: After Kimble escapes from the prison bus moments before it's demolished by a train, he steals an ambulance, is chased through the mountains by a police helicopter, is trapped in a tunnel, escapes by crawling through a drain and jumping from a very tall dam into a raging river. A very thrilling sequence, but he's supposed to be in Illinois, where there is no terrain remotely resembling this.

Mistake Other: When Kimble takes the elevator to the conference to confront Dr. Nichols, he presses a button, but the one beside it is the one that actually lights up. In this particular elevator, the button he pressed is the one that should have lit up.

Mistake Continuity: After the bus has crashed they show a shot of a dead convict with his feet against a broken window, looking out at the train.  Two or three shots go by and his feet are in a different position each time.

Mistake Continuity: When Kimble is calling his lawyer close to the EL-train, he says something and then you hear the "clang" from the train's bell. You only hear it once. However, when the police records the call and plays it, the clang sounds almost constantly during the conversation. Submitted by Sacha

Mistake Other: When Harrison Ford is being chased in an ambulance by the police, there is a shot of police cars heading towards the waterfalls in the background. If you look closely, the water is not moving.

Mistake Audio problem: If you listen carefully to the conversation Kimble has with his lawyer, he says "St. Louis" differently in the live version and the police recording, indicating the crew may have used two different recordings.

Mistake Revealing: When Dr. Richard Kimble is nearly run over by the freight train, look closely at the axles of the locomotive passing overhead. Diesel locomotives have large electric motors on each axle that actually propel the train. These electric motors are missing which would be similar to a car without a transmission. There is no way for a locomotive to move under its own power without these electric motors.

Mistake Continuity: When Richard Kimble comes back to the hospital and is seen by the nurse, they embrace. There is a shot with him facing the camera immediately followed by a shot of her facing the camera. Their arms have somehow magically changed positions from the original embrace.

Mistake Continuity: After Richard Kimble first escapes they say he is near Route 15 and Interstate 57 heading towards Berkeley Dam. All these places exist, but Berkeley Dam (Kentucky) is around a hundred miles away from these two roads (Illinois), and besides, Berkeley Dam looks nothing like what they show in the movie.

Mistake Factual error: During the car chase that leads to the tunnel, there are several freeway signs pointing to Murphy, North Carolina, and the film is set in Chicago.

Mistake Factual error: In the scene where the cops get called to the one-armed man's house: 1) When they start listing his address off the call tracer, they give an address that does not exist. 2) Even if it did exist, it's not on the South Side - it would be in the Loop, less than half a mile from where they are. 3) When they finally pull up to the house, the address actually on the house doesn't match the address they supposedly traced the call to - it's in the 11000 block, not the 200 block. 4) An address on the 11000 block of that street would be outside of the city of Chicago, and out of the jurisdiction of Chicago cops; yet they conduct a stakeout of his house anyway.

Mistake Continuity: During the scene in the dam tunnels, Kimble holds Gerard at gunpoint. In the first close-up, Gerard has three strands of hair that are all apart from each other. The shot cuts to Kimble and back to Gerard, and the strands are all together. Then it goes back to Kimble, who says "I didn't kill my wife." When it goes back to Gerard again, the strands are apart once more. We know he couldn't have moved them because he has his hands up. Later, when Gerard is holding up Kimble at the tunnel opening, there is only one strand on his forehead.
