Continuity: In the scene where Ice Cube is on the train, and the kids have gotten off, he is running inside the train to keep along side of the kids standing on the outside. As the train speeds up, just before he jumps off, the camera looks back at the kids and they are standing right at the end of the line (dead end) stop. So the train would have been coming from where there was no track.
Plot hole: In the scene near the end of the movie when Ice asks to say goodbye to the kids in the hotel room, the kids have on their pajamas, yet their luggage was left on the train earlier in the day. It is unlikely that they would have gone to the train station to get their belongings following the chaos of the Christmas party.
Visible crew/equipment: During the wide shots of the freight train, special brackets are prominently visible underneath the door of the box car in which Ice Cube and the kids were riding. None of the otherwise identical boxcars have these brackets, which were probably used to support a removable camera during the close-up action scenes.
Factual error: When Suzanne gets in Nick's SUV the first time, she comments on his Satchel Paige bobblehead. Nick replies that Satchel was his hero since he was still pitching for the Royals at 59. Actually, Satchel Paige last pitched for the Kansas City Athletics in 1965 before they moved to Oakland.
