Continuity mistake: During the drill scene when Sgt. Hartman is asking Private Pyle if he knows the difference between his left and his right, watch the positioning of Pvt Pyle's cap. After being struck the first time, the cap is slightly cocked. After the shot returns to Pyle and before he gets struck for the second time, the cap is obviously cocked further over.
Continuity mistake: Close to the beginning of the film when Rose is looking through Jack's drawings, a man walks by with a long black coat down to his ankles, in the following shot you see the same man walk past only this time the coat is just below the waist and a different colour from the previous shot.
Continuity mistake: When Hooper gets his gear from below, after the explosion in the engine room, he runs to the deck passing Quint using the fire extinguisher. The camera pans from Brody, who stands on the bridge deck, to Hooper right below him. So where exactly is the tall iron ladder that leads up to the bridge deck in this shot? It should be behind Hooper, in front of the window, but it's gone. Don't fret, it's back in the following shots.
Continuity mistake: In front of Krusty Burger, when Lou carries a naked Bart to the sign post, the post is embedded directly in the concrete walkway slab, just beside the left corner of the patch of grass. Once Bart is cuffed, the sign post has actually moved down about 4 feet, and is also now embedded directly in the grass at the right corner. In following shots, it's at the left corner of the grass and then right again.
Revealing mistake: When Phoebe and Mike walk into Central Perk and announce they're moving in together, Chandler, Monica, and Ross, who's wearing a sweatshirt and khakis, are all sitting on the couch, and after Phoebe's comment about loading up the Volvo and wanting to be a soccer mom, it's David Schwimmer's stand-in, wearing a blue button-down shirt and jeans, who is seated beside Chandler.
Continuity mistake: Pippin causes the skeletal body to fall into the well at Balin's Tomb. When the head falls in, Pippin spins around and behind him we see the body start to fall in and the pail is right next to the body. In the close-up shot of the body falling into the well the pail is not on the well. Then in the next few shots the pail is yet again sitting on the stone well showing the chain and pail falling into the well.
Continuity mistake: After Logan is shot twice in the head with adamantium bullets by Stryker , an overhead shot of him shows the bullets at different heights on his forehead. In this shot, the bullet on his right is noticeable higher. After Logan sits up and they begin healing, the left bullet appears higher on his forehead at an almost even height to the right one.
Visible crew/equipment: In the dueling scene, when Snape pulls Malfoy back onto his feet, a cameraman is visible kneeling down on the far left of the screen.
Continuity mistake: The worn areas of Jack's leather hat drastically changes throughout the film. Additionally, the hat has a threaded 'X' on both its right and left side. In numerous close-ups extra thread holes are visible in different areas near each of these Xs; such as in the Locker, when Jack lies on the ground as the Pearl passes by and later, on the little island, before Jack switches places with Will. In other shots those extra holes are gone, such as when Jack sets sail for the Fountain of Youth. The actual sizes of the Xs also change.
Visible crew/equipment: During the scene where Maximus throws the sword into the crowd and yells "are you not entertained," the camera pans around, and in the crowd, for a split second, you can see a cameraman in jeans and a shirt standing next to a camera. This is visible on the big screen, but hard to see on video, unless you see it on DVD and can zoom in.
Continuity mistake: During the sequence where Dorothy meets the Scarecrow, Dorothy's pigtails are first short (above her shoulders) and as the song progresses her hair gets longer (below her shoulders), then short, and then long again.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Dr. Grant and the others walk in on the feeding T-Rex, his mouth is slathered in blood. But when the T-Rex is battling the Spinosaurus, its mouth is clean.
Plot hole: In a close-up, just as Jack is freed from the hole in the water wheel, we see the axle's circular wood frame with its spinning bars, above and behind him, as he runs the wheel. At the end of this close-up, Jack's happy facial expression gives way to a look of dread, as he supposedly sees an approaching metal bar about to make contact with his forehead. This is impossible, since all bars are spinning behind him. After a close-up of the actual bar, in the next shot as Jack's forehead makes contact, he stands further back and is now at the center of the circular wood frame, so as to be in perfect alignment with those spinning bars.
Continuity mistake: When Dumbledore is about to introduce the other schools and Filch comes running through the great hall, he runs past Ron twice on his way up to the podium. The first time Ron is sitting up and his head turns as Filch runs past. As Filch continues to run, he passes Ron again, who this time has been lying his head on his arms on the table, and sits up as Filch runs past. The people near Ron also change and keep changing.
Visible crew/equipment: When Peter wakes up and discovers he can't see through his glasses, you can see a phantom hand on the left sliding out of view in the mirror. This happens the last time Peter tries to see through his glasses. It's not a reflection of his hand due to the angled edge - it's on the main part of the mirror.
Visible crew/equipment: When Bev hears "movement" on the baby monitor everyone rushes toward Roseanne on the stairs, and just as Roseanne comments that they're all "scary enough individually," we can see the second camera appear at the left side of the screen. Then when Bev walks through the bedroom's doorway, we can see movement of the boom mic at the top left corner of the screen, and when DJ turns on the camcorder we can see the end of the set from the POV of the camcorder.
