Trivia

Rob Zombie is a huge horror and slasher movie buff and he makes this well known in Devil's Rejects for there are many scenes that are tributes to slasher films. The Sheriff chasing Baby Doll through the cattle farm is from 2003's remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre as is Otis wearing the husband's face as a mask. Otis attacking the girl in the shower is a nod towards Psycho. The sheriff using an axe is from the Shining (watch how he kills Charlie. It is the exact same way Jack Nicholson kills the cook in Shining). The tale of the traveling killers is a hint towards Natural Born Killers and the idea of a the cop extracting revenge on those who killed his family member is from The Last House on the Left where a girl's parents take revenge on a group of rapists and killers.
