Mistakes
The boy who is sent to retrieve Achilles, refers to Boagrius as the Thessalonian, speaking of those from Thessaly. Thessalonians are people from the Greek city of Thessalonika - which is settled about 1000 years AFTER the battle of Troy. People from Thessaly were/are called Thessalians. The term Thessalonian should never even have been known to the boy, much less used by him. See more...
Trivia
Brad Pitt, portraying Achilles, actually injured his Achilles tendon in September 2003, while filming, which delayed the shooting of the climactic battle scene with Eric Bana, until December. The Achilles tendon is named after the mythological Greek warrior Achilles, who according to legend was mortally wounded by an arrow that hit his Achilles tendon. Achilles became almost entirely invincible to injury when his mother immersed him in the magical Styx River. Since she held him by the heel, which was not immersed in the river, Achilles had only one weak spot, his Achilles tendon, which ultimately led to his downfall. See more...

Continuity: When Hector stabs Menelaus, in the close-up the tip of the blade protrudes at his back a few inches to the right of the second circular design, under the shoulder flap. However, when Hector pulls the blade out, the tip of the blade is directly in the center of the circular decorative design.
