Shooting through the cereal is a reference to the episode of the Simpsons called "Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala-D'oh-cious," which features an episode of Itchy and Scratchy called Resevoir Cats (a parody of Resevoir Dogs), guest directed by Quentin Tarantino.
