Mistakes
When Maggie falls out of the kitchen window - First of all, she supposedly falls because she stumbles backwards, startled or hurt from the hammer wound on her head. But there's no way she could stumble backward and gain enough force to hurtle through the window the way she does - it would be hard to throw yourself out the window and gain as much force as Maggie did. Also, she falls out the window backwards, meaning face up as she falls. Yet when they cut to an outside shot, somehow she's miraculously reversed to face down. A miracle in physics. See more...

The filmmakers closed the famed Chicago loop as they filmed the massive toy store explosion sequence. A team of pyrotechnics experts rigged the mock store with explosive charges and set off the fiery blast, obliterating the front windows. Yet amazingly, only a few of the toys were actually destroyed; the rest were donated to charities that included the Children's Memorial Hospital and Ronald McDonald House. See more...

Continuity: When Andy makes his mum breakfast, he puts burnt toast onto a plate then puts a big lump of ice-cream on a slice of toast. Then when Andy pulls the tray from the counter, the ice-cream rolls off of the slice of toast, onto the plate. Then when Andy walks to his mum's room, the ice-cream has jumped back onto the slice of burnt toast.
