When Grant is taking the two children back to the visitor center ("Big Tim, the human piece of toast") Tim's ear is perfectly clean. In the next scene, the children are eating cake when suddenly a raptor's shadow appears on the wall; Tim's ear is covered with blood. When Nedry is trying to escape, and his jeep gets stuck on the mud bank, the camera shows the road below him, and there's an arrow pointing straight ahead. A bit later, the camera shows it again, and the arrow's pointing left.
