In the battle scene between Maximus and Tigris, not only does the visor flip up and down (see above), but when Tigris falls down with his visor up, you can see that his face isn't marked. But when Maximus again unmasks Tigris, it's bloody with a giant scrape across the face. See more...

Gladiator
Revealing: After the final fight scene, where Maximus is dead and on his back in the sand, his armour should have made his head droop horribly backwards. To avoid that, the filming crew put a pillow of sand under his head to raise it about three inches.
