Mistakes
At the Dead Marshes after Gollum rescues Frodo, in the next opening shot while Sam sleeps we see the pot and pans lying on the ground near Sam's head. When he hears the Nazgul he wakes up and some of those things lying near his head earlier are not there in this shot. This has nothing to do with camera angle. See more...

Elijah Wood describes this as "spontaneous, violent love." Apparently Viggo Mortensen and some stunt men enjoyed greeting co-workers by 'head-butting' each other. One night he convinced stunt man Sala Baker to head-butt Orlando Bloom, who jokingly swears he saw 'white light', after their heads smashed together. A bright red mark on Bloom's forehead was not appreciated by the make-up artist the next day. Mortensen was amused because Bloom had the "perfect, pale Elven complexion." Appendices, Extended DVD. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Continuity: In the scene where Gimli is about to tell Eowyn that Aragorn fell, Gimli's axe has Orc blood on it, in the next shot there is no blood. There's not enough time for him to have cleaned his axe.
