Mistakes
This happens throughout the entire film. Whenever bullet hits are shown on objects like cars or walls, the hits always appear to have been made from a weapon fired directly at the object - no matter what angle the shooter is actually firing from. One night on the 2 mile stretch of highway made for the movie, a security guard decided to race his car up and down when no one was around. Revealing: During the freeway chase there is a shot over the shoulder of one of the twins as he shoots at our hero's car. He rakes his stream of bullets from left to right following the car as it passes behind a white truck - notice, however, that there are already bullet holes in the truck before the stream of bullets ever reaches it.
