At Bag End while speaking with Gandalf, Bilbo packs his bag and he puts his pipe into it. The mouthpiece goes into the bag with the bowl part sticking out of the bag. Yet, when Gandalf asks, "Is that so hard?" the mouthpiece is now sticking out of the bag and the bowl part is in the bag. See more...
Trivia
In the scene where Arwen is taking Frodo to Rivendell and they are being chased by the Ringwraiths, there's a part when she gets a cut on her cheek from a tree branch. In the movie, when she gets the cut, you can see the that it's on her right cheek. But, if you look on the DVD or VHS cover, it is on her left cheek. I'm counting this as trivia rather than a mistake, because it's not a mistake within the movie, but it's worth a look. See more...
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Continuity: During the scene when Isildur cuts the Ring from Sauron's hand, it is obvious that he is against a pretty tall rock wall. But, when we see an overhead shot of the Dark Lord exploding, there is no rock wall. Notice how there are soldiers all around the explosion.
