Just before Natalie and Jack have sex in the BMW it is blue sky outside, Jack sees the sign for the Mexican border being 10 miles away then the camera shows the speedometer reading 90mph, therefore they would be at the Mexican border in under 7 minutes (unless they went a different route which they wouldn't want to do because they are being chased by the police) however in the next scene presumably after the sex it is dark outside and they still have 1 mile left (approximately) till they reach the road block at the border, surely the sun doesn't go down THAT fast.
