I finally got myself a ticket to go to the Download music festival with mates this year. I can say that straight off to bat none of you will either know or like the bands playing there (probably), but I'm very excited _________________ the dyslexic sits there and considers, is there a dog? |

As music died around 1981, you're probably right. _________________ JWR

*Cough*excuse me*Cough*
I know Faith no more are headlining the festival for the first time ever.
Slipknot was the first headliner announced followed by Def Leppard with special guests Whitesnake.
Dragonforce is also playing, as are Motley Crue.
Duff McKagan's Loaded are also playing a set.
I have mates going who are recording Slipknot's set, Dragonforces set, Motley Crue's set. all in video. And Duff's set possibly.
I would go but am holding out for Guns N' Roses to tour this year.
Motley Crue - Some good songs, only got a "best of" album by them though
Faith No More - again some good songs but not got any albums
Dragonforce - Excelent band. Even though their live preformances can be rubbish. I've got the entire back catalog.
Slipknot - Good band, but i only really like the last few albums. Mainly Vol. 3 The Subliminal verse
Duff Mckagan - Good artist, has some really good work although not the best solo artist/side project from Guns N' Roses. Got the entire back catalog.
So, um yeah. Download festival, (or as it was previously known Monsters Of Rock) is one of my favorite festivals.
Anyhow, Damn you! If Guns don't tour i am going to be mega annoyed that i missed it. _________________ Hello |

Now, I can't stop thinking about their songs, as if I didn't listen to them enough in the last days.

If anyone is a fan of Queen, (Husky) i seriously recomend the show We Will Rock You.
I seen this last night as a birthday present. Awesome from start to finish. Some good alterations of the Queen songs and excelent crowd participation. In the program it said We Will Rock You has had over 2200 preformances in the UK with over 2200 standing ovations. Last night was no exception.
The highlight was when the back drop on the stage lifted up and a full band was shown to be playing the songs. The people near by was very shocked. The highlight for me and my sister was that the bass player from the band was the bass player that filled in for Queen when we seen them in Cardiff last year. (again for my birthday)
Then during Bohemian Rhapsody, a Brian May look alike appeared on stage for the second half of the song. On opening night at Bristol Hippodrome, Brian May himself appeared.
But a very good evening and i strongly recomend it. _________________ Hello |
