Continuity mistake: On the train, when Ron introduces Harry to Scabbers there are two Jelly Slugs lying on Ron's leg - one red-green and one yellowish-brown, but when Ron casts the spell on Scabbers both Jelly Slugs are red-green, and then it switches back again. (00:36:40)

Revealing mistake: During the chess game the Queen attacks the Knight's horse that Ron sits upon. In this close-up just before the spear actually hits the side of the horse, the large hole, used to aid the stunt, is visible in the belly of the horse between the stirrups towards the hind legs. Continuity mistake: When Harry raises his hand with the captured Snitch, his back faces the Slytherin and Hufflepuff towers which are opposite each other, with the hoops between them. Continuity mistake: Just after Flint leaps over the Weasley twin, in the next shot Flint tosses the ball forward - toward the hoop - with the school to his left (viewer's right) and Ravenclaw, Slytherine, Gryffindor and two staff (black/grey) towers behind him, to his right. However, in the next shot as the ball flies through the hoop (close-up), it is actually the hoop at the other side of the pitch - we see (in order) the Slytherine, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor towers to the left of the screen. Continuity mistake: When Hermione shows Ron and Harry the Gryffindor Quidditch trophy, in the close-up of James Potter's name, Harry's reflection is visible on the badge. In the reflection, the points of his white shirt collar and a good portion of his tie are seen, whereas, in the shots facing Harry the collar points are tucked into his sweater and only the tie's knot is seen. Revealing mistake: Just after Harry gets back on his broom, the Slytherine seeker chases the snitch and he passes towers of (in order) Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherine, Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, on his left (this means Hogwarts is also to his left), when Harry flies up beside him. However, next shot as Harry slams into him, they still fly in the same direction, and the school is now on their right. Mistake with the background plate. (01:22:00)

Continuity mistake: Just after Slytherin scores ten points, Flint and his teammate surround Angelina. When one grabs the quaffle from Angelina, they fly past the second Gryffindor tower - we see the first Gryffindor tower, two staff towers (grey/black), Slytherin tower and the second Gryffindor tower behind them - then Angelina covers her head with her arm. However, in the next shot she actually crashes into the tower that she already flew past. (01:16:30)

Continuity mistake: At the hut on the rock, after Harry draws the candles in the dirt, he glances behind him at Dudley's watch. In the next close-up of the watch, as it turns 12:00, the watch is actually on Dudley's wrist (notice his fingers) the opposite way from the previous shot. Note the distinctive design around the watch face. (00:12:35)

Revealing mistake: While Vernon kneels as he tosses Harry's Hogwarts letters into the fire, the interior solid back of the fireplace is visible behind the flames. On Sunday, the first letter (from the fireplace with a CG back) hits Vernon in the face as it flies by. In the following two shots of the fireplace, as more letters fly out, there are now large holes at the interior back of the fireplace that are visible. As the letters pour down from above, air is blown through these holes to blow the letters out and about. (00:10:20 - 00:11:20)

Continuity mistake: On the Hogwarts Express, Hermione first watches as Ron tries to turn Scabbers yellow, she then joins them inside before she actually leaves and in these consecutive shots, her tie differs. (00:36:30)

Continuity mistake: When Harry walks into Ollivanders, in the overhead shot of the shop the table is angled directly in front of the ladder. Yet, when Mr. Ollivander hands Harry the second wand the table is beside the ladder in this shot. (00:25:00 - 00:26:25)

Visible crew/equipment: In Hagrid's hut, Harry, Ron and Hermione gather round the table as Hagrid places the dragon egg in the center. As the egg starts to hatch the shell flies everywhere and between Hermione and Hagrid camera equipment is visible at the lower left corner of the screen. This area is clear prior to this one shot obviously. (01:40:10)

Visible crew/equipment: At the end of term feast, Dumbledore stands and says, "Another year gone." In the next shot of the Gryffindor table, part of the camera equipment is actually visible at the lower right corner of the screen. (01:17:55)

Visible crew/equipment: Hermione opens the door to Fluffy's room when she says, "Alohomora!" so she, Harry and Ron could hide from Filch and Mrs. Norris. As Ron closes the door the top of the third floor corridor set is visible at the top of the screen. As an aside, when Ron repeats, "Alohomora!" look at Hermione's face. (01:02:00)

Visible crew/equipment: In the Key room after Hermione asks, "What's this all about?" Ron takes his wand out and starts for the door.
