Continuity mistake: In Egypt, when Sam says, "We got cops!" they're at a fork in the road, and with two police cars heading towards them from the left of the 'fork', Sam drives to the right of the 'fork'. However, in the next shot, the two police cars are driving past Bumblebee and the twins on the very same road, just before the police cars make their U-turns. (01:35:55)

Continuity mistake: When Bumblebee is battling Rampage, there's a close-up of Bumblebee as he dramatically drops his yellow faceplate over his face. In the next shot, Sam is on the ground in front of the car on its side (Rampage overturned it moments before). Problem is in the next shot Mikaela is also in front of that very same car, but Sam is gone, and she wasn't seen in the previous shot of Sam either. (02:00:30)

Continuity mistake: When Simmons is on the radio with Captain Wilder, who is aboard the USS Stennis, the radio cord around Simmons's neck is either over or under the flight jacket's fur collar, and then in the last shot the cord is suddenly off. (02:05:15)

Continuity mistake: When Lennox is trying to revive Sam, there is a close-up of the sock starting to slip out of Sam's grasp, but it's still in his hand. Then when the medics are using the paddles on Sam, clearly there is nothing in his bandaged hand. The problem is that there is another close-up of Sam's hand, after Mikaela professes her love, and the sock is still there in Sam's hand before it dramatically falls (it's the same close-up angle as the previous shot). Continuity mistake: When Optimus is holding Sam and Mikaela during Sector Seven's search for them, Mikaela falls, and in the shot facing up Sam hangs onto Optimus with his right hand and grabs her with his left hand. In the next overhead shot Sam now hangs onto Optimus with his left hand and holds Mikaela with his right hand. (01:26:10)

Deliberate mistake: At the corner of the roof, Sam clutches the statue as he protects the All Spark from Megatron, who then destroys the statue causing Sam to fall. In the overhead shot of Sam falling, as the chopper flies by, we see the All Spark leave Sam's grip and actually fall behind him. Yet, in the next close-up the All Spark is safely held in Sam's arm again. (02:06:50)

Continuity mistake: In the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Simmons grabs a leather flight jacket, puts it on and when he stands perfectly still between two mannequins his fur collar is first flipped up then flat down, between shots. (01:21:15)

Continuity mistake: Before heading into the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, when Simmons pulls the taser out of his bag and turns it on he holds it in his right hand, but in Leo's close-up as he starts to freak out, the taser's in Simmons's left hand, then it's back in Simmons's right hand, between shots. Visible crew/equipment: Before going into the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, when Simmons throws the bottle of pills at Sam and says, "Slip it under your tongue..." the reflection of the moving boom mic is visible in the car window. (01:20:35)

Continuity mistake: When Bumblebee shows up at the frat party with the horn blaring, Sam looks outside and sees the car on the lawn flashing headlights with a clean front bumper, but when Sam questions Bumblebee, there are bush branches all over the bumper. (00:35:00)

Continuity mistake: At NEST headquarters in Diego Garcia, when Optimus points his finger at Galloway and says, "We've witnessed your human capacity for war," both of Lennox's arms are up and crossed in front of him, then they're down and clasped behind him, and then back to crossed in front of him, between shots. Continuity mistake: When Sam is in his bedroom, after he finds the Cube sliver it falls and dramatically burns a hole through the floor into the kitchen. But Sam's bedroom is over the living room (there is nothing on the ground floor below Sam's elevated bathroom, and in the first movie Jazz hides in this open space), and the kitchen is actually located between the den and dining room, at the other end of the house. If they were to follow the actual floor plan of the house, the Cube sliver would have landed in the area of the piano in the living room, but where would the fun have been in that? (00:12:30)

Revealing mistake: When Sam, Mikaela, Simmons and Leo are being pursued by the police in Egypt, one of the police cars slams into a parked red car. This shot has been flipped. Note that the driver is on the right side, whereas in other shots the drivers are on the left. (01:32:10)

Revealing mistake: When Mikaela is driving the Saturn she's wearing a long sleeved leather jacket, yet when Grindor shows up in front of them and the car spins, the driver is wearing a short sleeved t-shirt. (00:54:00)

Revealing mistake: When Hooper is in the cage the regulator hose is to Hooper's right (viewer's left when facing him). However, when the shark first appears and passes Hooper, in the shot facing him the hose is now to Hooper's left (viewer's right), and the word "repeater" on the poison shark dart is also backwards. Continuity mistake: Throughout the film, Hooper wears on his left ring finger a gold ring with a distinctive design and a small black stone. When Hooper is lowered in the shark cage, underwater the ring design differs and the stone is a much larger oval shape. (01:53:05)

Continuity mistake: When Hooper is lowered into the water in the shark cage, in the following shots the ring he is wearing on his left hand vanishes and reappears in a few shots, such as when he drops the poison shark dart. (01:53:50)

Continuity mistake: Hooper wears rimless eyeglasses, with the arms either attached at the upper corners of the lenses or at the sides of the lenses. If this didn't happen between shots within the same scenes, it could be presumed that Hooper has two different pairs of glasses and switches between the two, but they do indeed change between shots, such as when Mrs. Kintner slaps Brody, or even later, on the Orca. Continuity mistake: In the secret room below the deli's meat locker, when Wheelie explains that the symbols are the "language of the Primes", Sam picks up two photos, but both photos don't just switch hands as stated in another entry, one changes entirely. In the fist shot Sam holds a photo of a jet, but in the close-up he holds a photo of an old plane, then in the following shot it's back to the jet. (01:19:45)
