Visible crew/equipment: When Roy and Johnny are with the young gymnast, the outlines of the mic transmitter and wire are visible on the left side of Roy's shirt, as he takes her vitals and places the oxygen mask on her face.

Other mistake: The dispatcher gives the address of "woman trapped on a wire" as "Commercial Studios,1122 Dellini Plaza", and as Engine 51 drives past the front gates, the large sign reads "World Pictures Corp." Additionally, the address of World Pictures Corp is 1731 Carlson, when we see the same footage of Engine 51 driving past the sign in episode "The Exam" in season 6.

Visible crew/equipment: When Johnny removes David's red helmet after his motorcycle accident, the reflection of array set lights are visible on the red surface.

Continuity mistake: When the TV catches fire in the kitchen, Captain Stanley unplugs it, and when it cuts to Roy running into the kitchen with the fire extinguisher, he passes Marco, who just ran into the apparatus bay. All of this while we hear Cap's voice telling Marco, who already ran out, to get the asbestos blanket. Then, in the next shot, Marco is still standing behind Captain Stanley in the kitchen.

Visible crew/equipment: After Roy climbs down the manhole, he leans to the right (the second time), and when he points the flashlight down the tunnel on the right, the moving shadow of camera equipment is visible on the wall. We know it's not Roy's shadow because when he leans back to the left, that shadow is still moving on the tunnel wall.

Visible crew/equipment: When Roy and Johnny are dispatched to the plant with an 18 yr old whose arm is caught in a machine, the outlines of the mic transmitters are visible on the left side of Johnny's shirt, when he's on the Biophone, and on the left side of Roy's shirt, when he's putting the tourniquet on the 18 yr old.

Other mistake: Brackett has Johnny and Roy in his office to listen to recordings on two cassette tapes - the first of 51's transmission with Rampart, and the second of 49's transmission with Pediatric Clinic. Brackett plays the first tape, pops it out and then plays the second tape. The problem is that when Brackett puts the first cassette tape back in the player, it's been rewound, even though Brackett never actually rewound the tape.

Visible crew/equipment: After Dianne's OD, once she passes out and Johnny begins to work on her and inserts the esophageal airway, the bulging outlines of the mic transmitter and wire are visible on the back of Johnny's shirt.

Other mistake: When Roy and Johnny rescue the deputy from the wrecked chopper that sank in the water, they emerge from the water soaked from head to toe, but when they are pulled to the top of the cliff, Johnny and Roy are both completely dry except for a few small wet patches on their shirts.

The Wedsworth-Townsend Act - S1-E1
Factual error: After the car falls off the cliff, Dixie lies unconscious and Roy takes her blood pressure. Roy wraps the cuff around Dixie's arm, then holds the manometer gauge in one hand and squeezes the bulb in his other hand. The stethoscope remains untouched around his neck, even though it's necessary to place the stethoscope bell on her brachial artery (inside of the elbow) in order to actually measure her blood pressure.

Other mistake: Before the car goes over the cliff, Dixie says that the woman has a fractured radius and ulna (forearm), and then at the hospital when Dr. Brackett talks to Dixie he says the same thing, but when Dr. Early walks into Brackett's office, he says "The woman with the busted fibula (lower leg), she's coming out of shock now."

Continuity mistake: When Gail, Laurie, and Pete realize they forgot Melinda, Johnny is wearing his leather jacket when Roy says "Look, it's a boy," but in the next shot Johnny's jacket is gone when he asks what happened.

Continuity mistake: When Dixie and Johnny reach the overturned car at the cliff, the bumper on the car goes from shiny to mud encrusted, and the amount of branches, etc that covered the car decreases significantly, by the time the car falls over the cliff.

Visible crew/equipment: When Dixie and Johnny are at the overturned car at the cliff, Dixie opens the car door and goes inside, and as the camera trucks to the right we can see a crew member, wearing a rust-colored shirt, reflected in the shiny bumper.

Continuity mistake: When Johnny and Roy are in the staff lounge waiting for Dr. Morton, Johnny's holding the newspaper's sports page, and in the page's close-up, there is a large picture of Brice centered between two columns of articles. However, when Johnny's talking to Roy and Dr. Morton, that page is entirely different even though he hasn't turned the page.

Visible crew/equipment: After spending all night on the job, when the tired guys of 51 are at the basketball game, the outlines of the mic transmitters and wires are visible on the backs and sides of 51's jerseys, particularly when Roy gets injured. (00:36:00)
