Continuity mistake: During the earlier scenes in Andy's room Molly's bottle is beside the lamp on the small wicker dresser near the crib, and it disappears and reappears, such as when Buzz wants to prove he can fly he stands on the bed's footboard and the bottle is gone, but it reappears when he lands on the race track. Continuity mistake: Near the start, when Andy uses the recliner chair's footrest to catapult Woody to the couch, the footrest remains extended while Andy's with his mother, but a moment later when Andy grabs Woody to head upstairs the recliner footrest has closed on its own. (00:03:10)

Deliberate mistake: While Donnie is training at Front Street Gym, when Rocky repeats, "One step at a time, one punch at a time, one round at a time," the closeup of two children watching from outside the ring is a flipped shot, note the backwards Nike swoosh logo and Everlast ring rope spacer. Continuity mistake: After Jessica fails John's "test" detailing the crime scene photos on the bulletin board behind her, it cuts to Jessica back at her apartment. In the closeup we see Jessica polish off the glass of wine she's drinking, and in the next wideshot from behind she lowers the glass from her mouth, but in the next closeup her glass is half full, even though she never refilled the wine. Continuity mistake: While Jessica and Mike are at the bar to get information about the second victim, when she grabs the bartender and shows him both photos, the way she holds them changes between shots depending on the angle. (00:46:20)

Continuity mistake: While Dr. Frank is explaining to Jessica that their session is standard procedure for any cop who's been through a traumatic experience, he's holding both his pen and eyeglasses in his left hand, but in the closeup the pen is suddenly lying on the writing pad by his right hand. Continuity mistake: After Tom helps Loco with the grocery bags, Schatze tells Loco that gentleman callers must wear neckties, and when it cuts to the wideshots of the taxicab turning and pulling up to the curb we see the building's revolving door (real door in NYC), but in the next closeup the revolving door (studio set) differs greatly. Continuity mistake: While Brewster and Loco are headed back to NYC they pay the GW Bridge toll, and when three police motorcycles start following them only one of the motorcycles has a windshield, but in the shot facing Loco and Brewster we can see that now two of the motorcycles behind the car have windshields, and then it's back to only one again. Other mistake: While Nisi and Mickey are in the kitchen, when Isaac and Manley walk in, on the counter is a box of instant grits with tape covering its brand name (Quaker) and a bit of tape covering the face of the company logo. Then when Mr. Blakemore takes out the ice cream there's tape covering its brand name as well.

Continuity mistake: After Rash questions Phil about the night prior to the accident, it cuts to Bobby loading bags onto the pickup, and when Bobby spots Rash driving toward him the bag on Bobby's shoulder is white side up, but next shot it's flipped over to the red side up. (00:32:05)

Continuity mistake: When Lucinda assures Rash that she'll know if the car had been tampered with, it cuts to the diner just as Rona walks toward the punch clock, and the actor's tape mark can be seen on the floor behind Rona, where the other waitress had been standing. (00:14:40)

Continuity mistake: When Jeff's car is pulled out of the water, Dr. Schwartz's entire body ends up getting soaked when he heads over to the car, but when he checks on Mona's nonexistent pulse and confirms her death, his button-down shirt is completely dry. (00:06:20)

Continuity mistake: At the start, when Mona tries to open her car door with the keys, her handbag strap hangs from her wrist area, but in the next shot Mona's hands are still busy with the car lock yet the handbag strap now hangs over her shoulder.

Continuity mistake: While Tom and Schatze are at the diner, when Tom tells her that she's "strictly a hamburger and onions dame" Tom's holding a lit cigarette, but as he passes the ketchup to Schatze the cigarette is replaced with a napkin, between shots. (01:14:50)

Other mistake: When Tom calls Schatze the first time and mentions seeing her ads in magazines, in the following shots while Schatze's on the phone and particularly while she's talking to Pola, we see the milk carton on the table which has tape all the way around it covering its brand name on both sides.
