Continuity mistake: At the very beginning, when Quaid has finished showering and is picking his phone, wallet, badge, keys, etc, there is a shot of his hand as it is picking up his cellphone. Cut to a wide shot of him and the objects have moved. For example, the coins have become a close cluster, his pack of cigarettes is no longer on the newspaper, and his badge has switched places with the lighter. (00:02:45)

Continuity mistake: The writings on the note Lois faxes to the Daily Planet (with the coordinates) change from when she writes it to when Jimmy sees it through his camera. For example, the 'N' is much smaller and the 'P' is fatter in the faxed version. (01:31:45)

Continuity mistake: After Eisenheim has disappeared, literally, from stage, Uhl and the policemen search his office. There, Uhl finds Eisenheim's notebook with the design of the locket in it. There is a large tear in the middle of the paper. It disappears when the inspector looks at it again after he has found the locket in the Prince's barn. (01:31:00 - 01:31:45)

Audio problem: When Uhl arrives as Prince Leopold is practising shooting, he informs the prince that Sophie had spent the night with Eisenheim. The prince asks Uhl whether they were 'fornicating'. His mouth, however, is saying f**cking. (00:51:50)

Continuity mistake: Clay puts a 'Have you seen Whitney' flyer on the back of the SUV. When the car drives past the Crystal Lake sign, it isn't there. When it parks, the flyer has returned and a guy removes it in anger. (00:24:35)

Trivia: During the outtake, Rex the dinosaur from Toy Story appears when Mike and Sully are about to cross the street. The duo are standing next to a pair of green legs, which are revealed to be Rex's when the camera pans up.

Continuity mistake: When Dan returns home after talking to Mason, he finds Rorschach in his kitchen eating beans from a can. After he has finished eating, he throws the second can on the table where it lands next to another can. When he gets up, the two cans have moved significantly apart. (00:20:15)

Continuity mistake: When Caleb and his father talk about his late mother on this bed while watching TV about tigers, watch the position of Caleb's head on the pillow. In close-ups, it is resting on the right edge. In medium shots, it is in the middle.

Continuity mistake: The day after John has discovered that the numbers refer to dates and number of deaths, he shows the sequence to his friend on a flat screen TV. On the left of the TV there is a pile of 4 DVD boxes with white labels. They are gone in the shot where John leaves the room.

Continuity mistake: Hannibal has captured the first man from the gang who killed his sister and has tied him to a tree. The way the rope is tied around the man changes throughout the scene. (01:00:35)

Continuity mistake: A policeman takes the dog tag from Hannibal's first victim's mouth (the one tied to the tree) with his bare right hand. Cut to a shot of him getting up and a glove has appeared. The camera has been on him so he has had no time to put on his gloves. (01:03:40)

Continuity mistake: After Elsie has been kidnapped, there is a scene where a little girl walks up to an old man to ask him for the time. A man notices this and walks towards the old man. The old man is standing in front of a light pole which casts a shadow onto the pavement. In another shot, there are no shadows near the light pole.

Continuity mistake: When the black guy attacks Famke, she falls on a rug. While he tries to strangle her, her head repeatedly moves from being on the rug and off it, between shots. (01:19:15)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the stampede, Drover places a black hat on Sarah's head. During the stampede, her hat is now light brown. (00:59:35)
