Corrected entry: The tracking station picked up the meteorite but never detected Galaxar's ship.

Correction: Galaxar's ship presumably can evade human technology, a meteorite is just a meteorite.

Jurassic World (2015)

Corrected entry: Bryce Dallas Howard incorrectly describes the Idominous Rex as InGen's "First genetically-modified hybrid." Every single InGen dinosaur has been a GMH. They're hybrids in the sense of being mixed with frog DNA and genetically modified to not produce correct amino acids in case of escape. A more accurate line would be "We have our first multiple dinosaur hybrid."

Correction: Largely semantics. Whilst you're right that frog DNA was used in the original movie's premise and that technically they were genetically modified, they also made it clear that they then bred them beyond that stage to be pure Stegosaurus or T-Rex but with the one caveat of withholding one vital element to control them. In Lost World, this particular genetically modified hybrid is NEW in the way that the species has never existed in history before, it is man made.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: If you watch the behind-the-scenes bonus features for this scene, you hear Claire have an extra part of her dialogue; "a new species built from scratch." Even without this line, Dr. Wu says that Indominus wasn't bred, but designed, so Claire is still accurate.

The A-Team (2010)

Corrected entry: On the roof of the hospital in Mexico, Murdock was singing Right Round by Florida while swinging on the helicopter rotor. The song was only released on 2009, whereby the event occured 8 years before American withdrawal from Iraq, which should be around early 2000.

zahree

Correction: Incorrect. The song was originally released in 1985 by the UK group, Dead or Alive "You spin me right round (like a record baby)". If you look at the credits for "Right Round" by Flo Rida, you will note that one of the credits lists Pete Burns, who was lead singer of Dead or Alive.

Corrected entry: When the Borg Queen is talking to Data about how he talks, drones are working on his arm with his hands being restrained. He is still able to move his fingers quite easily so if he can do that he should be able to just slip his hands out from the restraints.

jbrbbt

Correction: Irrelevant. The fact is, Data doesn't want to get away or escape, he finds the Borg Queen intriguing, especially as she is promising the one thing in the universe he craves more than anything else; to be more human.

Hollow Man (2000)

Corrected entry: An electromagnet is used to pull a metal lever on the other side of a metal door. The metal door would shield the lever, making this impossible.

Correction: Not so. The door is typically made of stainless steel for this type of environment, durable and easy to clean. And also; not magnetic.

The Naked Gun (1988)

Corrected entry: When Frank drives to the pier he hits a fisherman into the water with his car but in the next shot the fisherman is back on the pier. (00:16:00)

Correction: Not so. If you look carefully before Franks car hits the bollard, there are TWO fishermen in shot, one gets knocked into the water, the other is unaffected, and the fisherman who we see in the next shot is the unaffected one.

Aliens (1986)

Correction: Incorrect. When the crew for Batman went to Acton Power Station (closed down and used for filming), they found part of the old set from Aliens. They didn't actually use any part of that set, they simply found it.

Superman (1978)

Corrected entry: After Clark and Lois leave the Daily Planet building after Clark's first day, one quick cut later, they are in Chinatown (I realize Metropolis isn't literally New York City, but since the movie makes no attempt to hide that the Metropolis scenes were filmed in NYC, it seems legit. Even if you discount that, Lois and Clark still managed to be in a very noticeably different part of Metropolis within seconds). (00:55:50)

Correction: You've supplied the needed correction in your submission. That certain landmarks indeed look like New York City, its not portrayed as NYC onscreen, its only ever referred to as Metropolis. Its not referred to as a suburb of NYC either, so unfortunately, whilst it looks like NYC, its Metropolis and if Chinatown is that close as portrayed onscreen, then thats how close it is in Metropolis.

Sex and the City (1998)

Correction: Films and TV series frequently don't film on location at the actual places depicted.

GalahadFairlight

Your opinion does not constitute what is interesting for others.

Don't ask, don't tell - S3-E12

Corrected entry: During this scene when Carrie and Aiden are talking after the wedding, each actor's side of the scene was filmed separately. Aiden's part of the scene was filmed first; then Sarah Jessica Parker had to wait an hour, as it took a long time to completely turn the lights around to film her side of the scene. Thus, Carrie's part was filmed after Aiden's. (00:25:45)

Correction: It is a standard filming convention that not every scene will be filmed in sequence, and filming opposing takes of the same scene is true for almost every TV show and movie ever made.

Robocop (1987)

Corrected entry: When Clarence Boddicker barges inside and disables Bob by shooting in his thigh, he is seen to be pulling out a Disc, possibly a Video CD, from Dick Jones and loading it into the hi-tech console. If you notice closely here, the video feed appears the very moment the disc is pushed in, giving very little time for the machine to scan it's tracks, even the most advanced machine of that time should be taking around 20 seconds to display or play something. There is no connection between the Disc brought by Clarence and the feed played on the multiple TV sets.

sriram_r_2009

Correction: You submission fails in two areas. Stating that the Disc was "possibly a VideoCD" being the first. We are not told what it is, so we cannot assume what it is. Secondly the movie is set in the future and its deliberately ambiguous as to when in the future it might be, therefore its reasonable to assume that if they can marry human brain tissue to a robotic suit to create Robocop, they can create a disc format that plays instantly.

The A-Team (2010)

Corrected entry: In the beginning, when the two policemen are beating up Hannibal. The Policeman throws Hannibal's gun into a carton nearby. However when Hannibal removes his handcuffs, the gun appears near his foot.

Milar

Correction: Not so. The moment Hannibal removes his cuffs, the camera does short quick edited shots of his movements from getting up from the chair, retrieving the gun, replacing the firing pin and then stepping back into the shadows. Its not meant to be viewed as realtime event of what he did.

GalahadFairlight

Corrected entry: When Kyle captures a terminator by his foot using a cable, the terminator shoots his own foot off to get away. Since the cable would appear stationary since it is attached to the terminator, it would have been just as easy for it to shoot the cable a mere 6 feet away instead of blowing its own foot off. Something like a terminator that is designed to kill everything should have a targeting system that can engage a cable at 6 feet.

Robertus

Correction: The captured Terminator is a T-600, and has been stated throughout the Terminator movies as being far inferior to the T-800 and doesn't have the same thought processes as the superior Terminators, therefore its decision to shoot off its own foot shows just how useless a design it was and why it was superceeded.

Toy Story 3 (2010)

Corrected entry: The toy aliens in this film are the same ones as the last (the miniature ones which were attached to a piece of string dangling from the roof of the Pizza Planet truck). This is confirmed by the ongoing "eternally grateful" lines. Yet, they were not in the Pizza Planet machine which Sid activated in the first film. Therefore, they would be unfamiliar with "The Claw"

Correction: Not necessarily. Theres nothing to suggest that they were not originally from the same machine, and won by a Pizza Planet employee who then opted to decorate the delivery truck with them.

Kick-Ass (2010)

Corrected entry: When Kick-Ass calls Big Daddy and Hit Girl for help, they leave behind their hot cocoa. After Hit Girl rescues Kick-Ass and they return to their house, Hit Girl looks at the two mugs of hot cocoa and we can see the marshmallows floating in both cups. Considering the amount of time elapsed, those marshmallows should have been melted.

Correction: Not so. We don't know how hot the drinks were in the first place, and by virtue of the fact the drinks would be cooling down means the marshmallows never get to melt.

Avatar (2009)

Corrected entry: The estimated budget was $280 million. As of December 2009 this makes Avatar the most expensive movie ever made.

tavenger5

Correction: Incorrect. Some of the major movies from over 60 years ago when adjusted for inflation beat Avatar comprehensively for budget costs. Even if we discard inflation, Pirates of the Carribean: At Worlds End cost and estimated $300million to make back in 2007.

The Hurt Locker (2008)

Corrected entry: During the Sniper scene, when the rifle jams repeatedly, Sanford attempts to clear the jam each time by cocking the weapon without first removing the magazine. This is a no-no and a drill that any trained soldier learns in basic weapons training.

Correction: You're absolutely correct, but this is deliberate on the part of the film makers to show just how scared Sanborn is forgetting basic weapon drills that are designed to ensure this wouldn't happen. He's the most inexperienced of the team, and far more experienced soldiers are getting shot and killed and Sanborn's actions are influenced by this.

Crimson Tide (1995)

Corrected entry: I have been in some stressful situations on board, but I don't believe I ever heard "holy shit sir" on the 21 MC like the sonar sup does here.

d_chaney80

Correction: In times of extreme stress, people can and do say things that are not appropriate or required, even without realizing they said it. That you've never heard it personally doesn't mean it could never happen.

GalahadFairlight

I personally observed a newly qualified Engineering Officer of the watch grab the 1MC (mikes had been swapped by his predecessor) after all watch standers hit alarm test and fiddled with their panels, he announces to the whole boat over the 1MC "What the F***k just happened?" We all sat down with our panels normal and nobody forward even called.

Corrected entry: Before firing the nuke in the mother-ship Will and Jeff light their cigars, but when they are walking in the desert after returning to earth the cigars look like they only just have been lit, even though over 20 min have past. The control-center hasn't heard for them in 20 min and there wives and the president have to drive all the way out to them to greet them before we see the cigars again.

Fidosan

Correction: Cigars don't have the chemicals that cigarettes have in them to keep them constantly alight. Invariably a cigar will go out and will need to be relit, so its perfectly reasonable that they are the same cigars.

Star Trek (2009)

Corrected entry: The Kelvin computer tells George Kirk that the auto-pilot is disabled, leading him to decide to remain behind. He fires the ship's weapons to protect the escaping shuttles. Once the shuttles are safe, the status display shows that weapons are offline. Kirk sets a collision course and then sits in the captain's chair for a couple of minutes and does nothing else but talk to his wife and await his death. If there's no auto-pilot, how did he program the collision course and why would the computer follow it? Shouldn't he have to be at the helm flying the ship manually? And if not, why isn't he trying to get to an escape pod? According to the readout, he has at least a minute.

Vader47000

Correction: You've answered your own submission with one of the MANY questions you've included. Regardless of the weapons now being offline, so long as Kirk remains at the helm, he can adjust the course of the ship if the Nerada alters its course to intercept the escape pods, so no matter what time he has left, he has to stay at the helm. The computer merely warns him of the collison, clearly with the auto-pilot being offline is in part why the computer cannot alter course to avoid the collision. Your submission would have been better separated, and most of it should have been submitted as questions.
