Funny Bones (1995)

Revealing mistake: When the Parker Brothers run to the side door of the ghost-train, which is supposedly in Blackpool Pleasure Beach, you can see it's a fake set built in a carpark, because the carpark bay marking lines disappear under the wall of the ghost-train. (00:29:35)

Funny Bones (1995)

Continuity mistake: At no point is is shown, or even implied, that George Fawkes and Dolly Hopkins know each other. They never talk to each other, none of Dolly's associates appear to know George, and when Dolly and George appear together in the same scene at the circus, they act as if they don't know each other. Yet when George meets up with the Parker Brothers after 30 years, it's in the same room of Dolly's house that Dolly and Sharkey met in earlier in the film. (00:44:10 - 01:26:10)

Carry on Spying (1964)

Carry on Spying mistake picture

Other mistake: When our heroes are on the conveyor belt in the rock-processing plant, none of the rocks are larger than two feet in size - especially having gone past a set of spinning saw blades - and yet they get sprayed by two steam nozzles, the highest of which is about six feet in the air, and the lowest is about four feet in the air. Clearly neither of these nozzles would have any practical use. (01:21:10)

Visible crew/equipment: In the first shot of our heroes being given their assignment, something, presumably a crew member, can be seen intruding into the frame to the right of Barbara Windsor and casting a shadow on the desk. (00:11:50)

Revealing mistake: When our heroes are on the conveyor belt heading towards the saw blades, it's obvious that the conveyor belt on the other side of the blades is just a painted backdrop. (01:20:45)

Carry On Cowboy (1966)

Other mistake: Johnny Finger is supposed to be a crack shot, and in his first scene he supposedly beats three guys on the draw simultaneously. However, as he goes for his revolver with his left hand, it goes off almost immediately whilst still pointing straight downwards. (00:02:45)

Continuity mistake: When Emmannuelle first speaks to the butler at the front door, the door is ajar from the front, but completely open from behind. (00:07:30)

Madstunts

Revealing mistake: When Emmannuelle and the footballer are kissing at the football ground, it's obviously supposed to be in the medic's room - you can see a couch and a set of drawers and a filing cabinet and a medics bag with bandages and things - and yet the room also has five shower heads and wall mounted soap dishes. It's really the showers. (01:04:30)

Carry On Cowboy (1966)

Audio problem: When we see the can-can dancers perform on-stage, the music is played by a full band including brass and drums, despite the fact that there's only a pianist on-stage. (00:22:10)

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: This error is not unique to Carry On Cowboy. It seems that in very many western movies (and TV shows) there might be a scene in a saloon, in which a singer or some dancers are performing on a stage. In nearly all such occasions they seem to be accompanied by a full orchestra which is nowhere to be seen.

Rob Halliday

This is not a valid correction. To say the error exist in other films does not invalidate this error.

Bishop73

Sorry, I think I got that wrong. I was not trying to invalidate the error, far from it! What I meant to say was that I agree that this is quite an obvious error in Carry On Cowboy, and that this also seems to be a common, and rather amusing, error in many other western films as well.

Rob Halliday

Unfortunately at this time, valid mistake entries are not subject to forum discussion where one agrees or discusses the mistake. Just give the mistake a thumbs up if you agree with it.

Plot hole: When Bond and Tibbett break into the underground lab and find the device which drugs the racehorses, you can see that it has a large light emitting diode (LED) on the top of it. What possible use would that be, since the device is implanted in the horse's leg, and is supposed to be covert? (00:37:20)
