Trivia: Bolo Yeung's (Chong Li) line "brick not hit back" is similar to Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon" line of "boards don't hit back." Bolo Yeung was also in "Enter the Dragon" (as Yang Sze).

Trivia: When Eddie is unsure of the year, Harry says, "it's 1985. Reagan is President." Eddie replies, "the actor?" This is the same response Doc Brown gave Marty McFly in "Back to the Future" when he asks Marty who the President in 1985 was. This episode aired less than 5 months after "Back to the Future" was released.

Trivia: While there have been many actors on the show over the years who played multiple characters, the character of Mrs. Smith is particularly interesting. She's an elderly woman brought in on prostitution charges, and at the end, it's implied Dan might take her up on her offer for sex. Mrs. Smith was played by Jeanette Nolan, who had previously appeared on the show as Dan's mother.

Trivia: Jindah Kol Rozz, who is imprisoned in the Phantom Zone by Alura Zor-El, is played by Sarah Douglas. Douglas appeared in "Superman: The Movie" and "Superman II" as Ursa. In Superman, Ursa was imprisoned in the Phantom Zone by Jor-El.

Trivia: During the scene at the theater, after Anderson is taken hostage and encounters Ma-Ma, there's a movie poster for "Krysler's Mark" with the tagline "A Quest for a child." Owen Krysler's is a character in the Judge Dredd comics. He's a mutant and child Judge. The poster shows it's "Directed by Ulf Suhrmuller." Suhrmuller was in the art department for "Dredd" as an art runner and model maker.

Trivia: After the failed first scenario, Mattox says "I wouldn't buy that for a dollar." In the original "Robocop", a TV character had the catchphrase "I'd buy that for a dollar" that would make the characters in the movie laugh.

Trivia: Near the beginning, when Paco is flipping through the stations, you see a stand-up comedian and he says "it's called The Aristocrats." This is the punchline to one of the world's dirtiest jokes. The closed caption (on the HBO MAX version) says "to get to the other side."

Trivia: The scene in the burning building with Green Goblin and Spider-Man plays out very similar to the scene in "Back to the Future 2" with Griff and Marty Jr. They both ask "are you in, or are you out?" and then reply "wrong answer." Goblin is also standing with his bomb behind his back, the way Griff stands with his bat behind his back.

Trivia: Netflix uses the International Theatrical Version of the film (which they tend to do a lot), that cuts a few jokes or changes some scenes from the US Theatrical Version. For example, instead of Tony Montana from "Scarface" in Ron's eyes, it's Frank Dux (Jean-Claude Van Damme) from "Bloodsport", which is also a mistake since the film came out in 1988.

Trivia: The newspaper article about the Wayne Manor fire is listed as written by Julie Ochipinti. In real life, Ochipinti was an assistant set decorator for the film. She would go on to later be nominated for an Oscar for Best Art Direction for the film "The Prestige", which also starred Christian Bale.

Trivia: When the subway car is arriving, after Akeem asks Lisa to marry him, there's a poster for a movie called "See You Next Wednesday." This is a fictional film and a sight gag seen in many of director Jon Landis' films. This poster says it's starring Dan Aykroyd and Jamie Lee Curtis (among others), another reference to "Trading Places."
