Continuity mistake: While Fry is commenting on it being his first Christmas without his family, it can be seen that the door to the hallway is open. but when Hermes comes in, there's the sound of the door opening. Also, Hermes waves the two stacks of cards. The stack in his right hand has a red envelope in it that changes to white in the wide shot.

Trivia: In the beginning, Bender and Fry are watching an episode of "The Scary Door", based on The Twilight Zone. In it, a man is billed as "The Last Man On Earth", and he is walking into a library. This is a mirror of the episode "Time Enough At Last", where the man is the survivor of a bombing holocaust, and winds up at a public library, saying there was time at last to read, but breaks his glasses.

Continuity mistake: After Radar calls assembly, Potter starts to address the personnel. Accounting for Hawkeye, BJ, and Margaret in Surgery, there are only thirty-three people there. In the episode "Dear Ma" (S4: Ep 17), Radar wrote that there were almost two hundred people there.

Other mistake: As the automated setup makes breakfast, it makes a total of seven pancakes (the two that end up on his plate, and five stuck on the ceiling). Trouble is that was only enough batter for one pancake, and no refilling device.
