Movie Nut

Other mistake: After the rocket hits the water, the view of the landscape bobs up and down. But the movement at the top and bottom of the view are slightly jerky rather than the smooth stop and go that a real bobbing craft would have.

Assignment: Earth - S2-E26

Continuity mistake: To open the secret doors, Seven tilts one of the pen holders down to the top of the desk. After he's gone, Ms. Lincoln comes in looking for him, and the pen is upright without it having been pulled back up, unless it was supposed to reset itself.

The Enterprise Incident - S3-E2

Plot hole: In the conference room, Spock informs Kirk that his theory of a Romulan cloaking device kept the sensors from detecting the ships. However, in S1:E14, "Balance of Terror", they figured out the cloaking device, and how it worked. Unless he was feeding into the deception, Spock shouldn't have had any theory when it was a fact.

Continuity mistake: On Kronos, Harrison's hair is long enough to reach his jawline, but in the brig it's short and neatly coiffed.

Revealing mistake: As Ironbar shoots into the conduit where the kids are, the spots where the spark charges to simulate the bullets hitting are visible.

Trivia: Though many years after the apocalypse, the jacket Max wears still has his name on it. The name plate reads "Rockatansky", his name before it all happened.

Movie Nut

Question: Since this is set years after the "Pocky-clipse" (as called by the kids), while Max and a lot of others have long hair, why do they mostly not show any facial hair? Given there are some knives and razors, but it would seem that shaving wouldn't be high on the list of survival.

Movie Nut

Chosen answer: Actually grooming would be somewhat important, if only for general comfort. Unruly facial hair can be quite uncomfortable and gets dirty easily. It is entirely plausible that men would regularly shave if they had a means to even in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Continuity mistake: When the car full of "geeks" takes off from the intersection, the white semi that was approaching should have met and passed the car at the speed it was travelling, but disappears.

Other mistake: When examining the craft in the hangar, it's reported there are no seams or any way in or out, but when the camera focuses on the man's hand, you can see the seam where the hatchway will be.

Show generally

Question: The Impulse engine on the back of the Dorsal section is lit during orbits, which is normal. However, should that engine not be lit, like the ones on the back of the saucer, when it is in Warp?

Movie Nut

Chosen answer: There's no reason for the impulse engines to be active when the ship is at warp speed. Within the show, warp is an entirely different method of propulsion (i.e. Warping space around the ship) and doesn't require thrust, which is what the impulse engines provide.

Revealing mistake: As the camera watches the duel between Batman and Penguin, the wall of the set is painfully obvious, as you can see lines and ripples in the scenery of the sky.
