Superman/Doomsday (2007)

Superman/Doomsday mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Superman throws Doomsday through a building, Lex Luthor is shown watching from his office from an over the shoulder view from his perspective. It then cuts to an angle from further behind him and suddenly an antenna appears on the building, and the design of the windows change. (00:22:10)

Superman/Doomsday (2007)

Continuity mistake: Jimmy and Lois walk up to the hole in the ground left from where Doomsday smashed Superman down into the subway. Jimmy holds up his camera and takes a picture, then it cuts to a close up of them. Suddenly his right hand goes from holding the side of the camera to holding the lens, and the strap of the camera is suddenly over his arm. Lois and Jimmy are also suddenly closer together, and her arm goes down to her side. (00:23:30)

Superman/Doomsday (2007)

Superman/Doomsday mistake picture

Continuity mistake: After Superman recovers from getting elbowed in the face, he knees Doomsday in the chin and then flips over him and throws him hard at a building. But if you watch closely, the building it shows him being thrown at is different than when it cuts to the next shot to the building he hits and goes through. In fact it the building he hits looks more like the building off to the left of the one that he was thrown at. (00:22:05)

Superman/Doomsday (2007)

Continuity mistake: As Superman tackles Doomsday out of the way of the subway train, you can see that Superman grabs him from behind and is pushing him towards the wall, Doomsday facing it. Superman/Doomsday mistake picture

Continuity mistake: After Superman saves Lois and Jimmy in the chopper, he and Doomsday get into a fist fight for a moment, Superman getting a few good hits off, followed up by Doomsday spinning and slamming Superman in the face with his elbow. 22 Jump Street (2014)

Question: What happened to the girl that Schmity fell in love with and was with at the end of the first movie?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: While her fate is currently unknown, we do know that Brie Larson did not reprise her role for the sequel because of the story taking place in college.

Frozen (2013)

Question: This is a potential plot hole but I have not seen any submissions about it yet. They said that only an act of true love can thaw the ice in the princess' heart, Olaf even says this as he is building a fire to keep her warm and says that it would he putting someone else's needs before their own. Well as he is saying this he is building a fire for her and begins to melt. He's made of snow and does just what he said, puts his own needs to stay away from heat behind the need of Anna being kept warm. Would this not also be an act of true love? He sacrificing himself almost for her? Why didn't that fix her heart?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: The act of true love had to be committed not FOR Anna, but BY Anna. It was HER heart that was frozen, after all. Sacrificing herself to save her sister was the act of true love that thawed her heart (and the rest of her).

Inception (2010)

Question: Me and my friend have debated this each time we have watched the movie and I finally decided to ask the question here to see who is right. When they are discussing their plan and saying they need the plane for it, Saito says "I bought the airline... It seemed neater." My interpretation of this is that he bought out all the tickets on that particular flight so the plane would be empty and weed out risk of interruption from other passengers, as doing that made it so there are no other passengers. But my friend thinks he means he bought the entire brand of the airline, so that he now owns the company that has that plane. Like buying out SouthWest Airlines as a company or something. So who is right? What did Saito mean? Did he buy out all the tickets for that flight, or did he buy the whole airline company?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: He bought out the actual airline company. If he'd bought out all the tickets for that specific journey he'd have said "I bought out the flight" or similar. It's a deliberately over the top moment of exuberance to highlight exactly how rich Satio is. I'm afraid that it is your friend who is correct, sorry.

Question: Spoiler alert. When Dastan and Nizam are fighting over the knife stuck in the container holding the Sands of Time, it breaks free and they are both swept up, the scene then changing to Dastan back after he first discovers the dagger after the invasion of Alamut. He is aware of what happened in the previous time line obviously and acts to prevent the events from happening again. But what I am not clear on is how Nizam is acting at that point. Is he still aware of the previous time line? It's hard to tell by how he acts when Dastan confronts him. He was with Dastan when they went back in time to that point, but it was Dastan holding the dagger. So does that mean only Dastan knew what happened, or does Nizam remember it too?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: Only Dastan remembers. Nizam is acting strangely because Dastan is acting strangely. He suspects that Dastan is onto his secret plot somehow but can't figure out how Dastan could possibly know.

Question: So how exactly did Doomsday's ship get buried so deep? On the movie the Project Apple Core workers say they discover it's "before Christ deep", but don't specify exactly how old. And they are 2 miles down at the time. Lex Luthor interprets the alien hologram as a warning and says that an alien race must have trapped Doomsday here because they could not kill it. And later the robot at the Fortress of Solitude identifies Doomsday and tells Superman what it is. I know there are several differences between the film and the comics it's based on. Are there differences in how Doomsday got there and how is it so deep?

Quantom X

Answer: In the comic book, Doomsday was put in a strait-jacket, strapped in metal bondage and placed in a cube like metal prison buried deep in the earth. It took him centuries just to break the bonds, then spent more centuries just punching his way out. With earthquakes, volcanoes and other natural disasters those events could shift Doomsday's prison to the surface.

Question: In the film, Doomsday is described as being a machine, designed to be the ultimate warrior but could not distinguish between friend and foe, and thus exists to destroy any and all life. Is that how it was in the comic, even the machine part?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: When they call Doomsday a machine, they don't mean a literal machine. Just that he was built/designed. The comics were much the same. Doomsday was created by placing a baby on the most dangerous planet in the universe, and cloning that baby every time it died, forcing it to adapt. Doomsday eventually escaped this torture.

Team Fortress 2

Revealing mistake: Scream Fortress 2014 - Carnival of Carnage: Sometimes if you get killed while using the shrinking spell, and you are standing on a sloped or uneven surface, your body will get party stuck through the ground as it instantly goes back to regular size in death. And this can even cause where all that is sticking up from the ground is your head, as it hangs there.

Question: The opening scene with the train crashing into the military base played out an awful lot like the Macbeth boss fight in Star Fox 64. Is this on purpose?

Quantom X

Question: Is Kitty aware of what is happening in the past? Like when she is holding Wolverine's mind in the past, does she see and hear everything he does?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: No, she has no idea what's going on.

Superman/Doomsday (2007)

Superman/Doomsday mistake picture

Continuity mistake: Having saved the chopper, Superman and Doomsday go at it again in the street. As they are punching, you can see buildings on the left side of the street, and in the distance there is a small blue building with yellow windows and a taller building beside it to the left with a large sign on top. It then cuts to a close up of Superman getting a good punch to Doomsday's face followed by Doomsday smashing his elbow into Superman's face, and suddenly another building appears between the small blue building and the other one, and the large sign has vanished off the building that was beside it on the left. Superman/Doomsday (2007)

Continuity mistake: Once Lois and Jimmy are out of the chopper, Doomsday bursts up from the rubble of the building and begins charging at Superman, who then charges back at Doomsday. As they collide, you can see down a side street at the buildings, several cars in the road, and some rubble. Doomsday and Superman bounce off each other and slide back in their respective shots, and then go at it again in a fist fight. The side shot then shows the same street, only now some of the buildings on the left side are noticeably different, the cars have vanished from the street, the smaller pieces of rubble in the road have changed around, and the street lines in the road have vanished. Other mistake: Scream Fortress 2014 - Carnival of Carnage: When Marasmus casts the Giant Heads spell, if a player, especially one playing a Heavy, is wearing the Monoculous hat. Which is a large eyeball and lid that replaces the character's head. When this spell is cast, you can see the eyeball mask enlarge, but just the lid part, the purple and white of the eye vanishes completely. This allows you to see the character's head inside it and makes it look more like a space helmet. And then the insides of the eye lid are transparent from the insides, like a one way mirror.

Superman/Doomsday (2007)

Superman/Doomsday mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Superman sets down the chopper, there is a building behind them with some people standing around. It cuts to a very brief shot of inside the chopper as Lois removes her seat belt and then cuts back to outside the chopper, and suddenly the people standing around have moved. Also the air intake on top of the chopper changes shape and goes from a lighter blue to darker blue. The damage to the windshield becomes more extensive between shots, the glass part on the bottom of the front of the chopper goes from being two parts to one solid part, and the broken landing leg changes from a light blue to being white like the body of the chopper.
