I Worship His Shadow - S1-E1

Audio problem: As the Fore Shadow is charging up its blast each time, when first shown it makes a high pitched shrieking sound as the energy spreads across The Web of cables fanning out from it. However as the battle continues, this sound effect becomes very inconsistent when it plays in correlation to the energy blasts charging up on the ship. (00:02:15 - 00:03:20)

I Worship His Shadow - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: As Kai's squadron fly across camera, it cuts to Kai in his cockpit with his shadow on his right. But as the camera pans around to get a side view of him, his shadow moves in the other direction revealing them moving the light with the camera. (00:01:55)

I Worship His Shadow - S1-E1

Stupidity: At the start of the episode, the Brunnen-G planet is about to be under attack by His Shadow in a big ship that is capable of destroying the surface of the planet and everybody on it in under a minute with its fire power. It seems the Brunnen-G had time to respond, seeing as they send a counter measure against His Shadow... Except that they only send a single squadron of 6 fighters. Their planet is about to be obliterated by His Shadow's killer ship, and they only send up 6 fighters. And of course, they fail and all die except for Kai. (00:01:45)

I Worship His Shadow - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: As Kai's squadron swoops in to fire their 'stingers' at His Shadow's ship, only 3 of the 6 are shown flying at the control pod. But in the next shot as they fly past it with their stingers hitting, it's 4 of them flying away. (00:03:00)

I Worship His Shadow - S1-E1

Other mistake: As Kai's squadron are approaching The Fore Shadow, the ship begins to fire its massive web like plasma waves at the planet, and fires over and over continually. Except in close up shots as Kai's squadron are flying around it. Like it completely stops firing in closes ups, though when cutting away suddenly blasts are close enough to it that they would have been coming out during those close ups. (00:03:05)

Superman (1941)

The Mad Scientist - S1-E1

Question: So I have seen several places where people have been claiming that The Mad Scientist in this first episode was based on Nikola Tesla, and have seen many people complaining about him being portrayed as a bad guy in this. However, IMDb trivia states that "Boris Karloff' engineer Poelzig in Edgar G. Ulmer's The Black Cat (1934) was the inspiration for The Mad Scientist..." I've tried looking into it a little bit, but I can't seem to determine which is the correct person that The Mad Scientist was based on... Maybe both?

I Worship His Shadow - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: His Shadow's ship, The Fore Shadow, begins to blast the Brunnen-G planet and the shots hit the surface causing massive instant damage seen and heard from space. Each hit charring the ground. When the camera cuts back to the planet a few shots later as the ship continues to fire, the destroyed areas of the planet from before have all moved around, with the giant char marks being inconsistent in where they landed. Team Fortress 2

Trivia: Demoman: The hat for Demo called the Stormin' Norman, has the item description on it "This knight's helm was painstakingly recreated using stills from the classic time travel episode (Ep 417: "A K.I.T.T. in King Arthur's Court") of the hit TV show Knight Rider." This is a reference and joke two to things, talking about the 1982 TV series Knight Rider where the car was called K.I.T.T. However there are only 90 episodes of that show but states it's from the 417th. It is also a play on the 1995 film called A Kid in King Arthur's Court, where a boy went back in time to the days of King Arthur.

I Worship His Shadow - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: Kai and his squadron fire their stingers at His Shadow's ship, and it shows the missile like things heading towards part of it with large cable like structures interconnecting the pieces. When the angle cuts as they hit, the explosions appear in huge size instantly and the positions of these cables change quite a bit. (00:03:05)

I Worship His Shadow - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: Kai tells his squadron to have good luck and his mouth is hanging open a little after he says that. Then it cuts to a close up before he says "very very good luck" and suddenly his mouth is fully closed before he speaks. (00:02:50)

I Worship His Shadow - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: Kai orders his squadron to bring up their stingers on their bug ships, and in a side angle shows them curling up like a scorpion stinger. It then cuts to a close up of one stinger opening and it suddenly changes shape a little. In the side angle it looking more like a shark head with a visible hump on the bottom side, to being almost a perfect round football like shape in the close up. Also the space gas around the ship changes from green to white between shots. (00:02:35)

X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)

Video

Other mistake: Moira finds the ruins where Apocalypse is being revived in Egypt and it's the middle of the day, while it's night time in New York. Then when Xavier talks to her about it back state side, he mentions that it happened yesterday. It's a 15 hour flight alone just to get back.

Suggested correction: Perhaps it happened 2 (or more) days ago, and Charles misspoke. Charles is tongue-tied in this entire scene because he is so smitten with Moira. He misspeaks in that very sentence. He says "I was - we were - hoping that you would tell us what happened yesterday in Egypt." He appears to be more concerned with concealing his feelings for Moira and probably didn't notice he said "yesterday."

That is way too subjective and and unclear to be a valid correction.

Continuity mistake: The Apocalypse/Mayhem: When Uriel swoops down and saves Abaddon from the Grappleclaw Demon, Abaddon still has his sword in his hands and does not let go of it. As Uriel strikes the Grappleclaw and it plummets down only a split second later as the camera pans over Abaddon, suddenly his sword has vanished from his hands without him ever putting it away.

Continuity mistake: The Apocalypse/Mayhem: War walks past the area where the cars were before getting to the lava pit, leaving them a good distance behind and around the turn of the building. And when the horn blows and he falls to his knees in pain, he's still down the road like that. But after Straga's hand reaches up and grabs Abaddon from the air and Uriel asks what has he done, it cuts back to War on his knees and suddenly the Taxi and other cars are only a few feet behind him showing that he's now back on the previous street.

Continuity mistake: The Apocalypse/Mayhem: Once Abaddon is attacked in mid air by a Grappleclaw Demon, Uriel swoops down to save him and from the view it shows that Abaddon is held by the Grappleclaw under him with the Grappleclaw's head much higher up. Continuity mistake: The Apocalypse/Mayhem: After Abaddon mentions the Final Seal, a Grappleclaw Demon leaps at him and he looks up to raise his arm and defend himself. In the shot from over Abaddon, he looks up and is almost looking straight up, but it cuts to a different angle and he's now looking almost fully to the side.

Continuity mistake: The Apocalypse/Mayhem: There is a sign with a picture of a leg on it next to another sign with a guy wearing red sunglasses posted on the building on the left hand side of the street that War walks down to encounter Abaddon and Straga. Abaddon hovers above the lava pit at the end of the street when War encounters him, but in several shots looking up at Abaddon, he's suddenly down next to those two signs and switches back and forth from shot to shot depending on what's happening.
