Clear And Present Danger (1994)
Other mistake: In Colombia, a heavily camouflaged soldier goes into a hangar and places a bomb on it and rushes out before it explodes. On his way out, he passes another soldier who is lying as close to the ground as possible. In front of this soldier is a line of fine wire, right in front of his face. The only thing I can think of for that wire being there is as a marker for the actor.

Clear And Present Danger (1994)
Factual error: A bunch of troops are in heavy camouflage in helicopters, going to an assignment. The officer in charge tells them to take their dog tags off and empty their pockets of anything that could identify them. This is silly: first, in troop helicopters, the troops wouldn't be able to hear the officer's voice - it's too noisy - and second, this would be ingrained in them, to remove dog tags etc, and would have been done back at the base, before they left.

Hellboy (2004)
Question: I was reading the mistakes for "Hellboy" and I saw one that completely blew me away: In the scenes down in the disused train tunnels, Hellboy comes out of one with his massive arm now on his left and he's holding a gun in his right. How could the make-up people make such a huge mistake, and how come Ron Perlman, the actor who played Hellboy, not notice the difference?

Hellboy (2004)
Question: Why does Hellboy have to live inside a huge safe, with a massively thick door? This is his home; he chooses to live there. Why is he locked up?
Chosen answer: A movie conversation explains Hellboy actually doesn't like being cooped up and enjoys going out from time to time, but this causes a big problem for the secret organization he's supposed to work for. Long story short, he has a curfew and the safe is the only way to make sure he doesn't break out.

Hellboy (2004)
Question: When Hellboy has the stinger on his arm, in the alley behind the library, he tosses it to Myers, who throws it away, but it's back home - it was thrown away; how did it get back home? Or who took it home?
Chosen answer: Myers just threw it a short distance away because he didn't really want to hold it. He obviously picked it up and took it back to base.

Ghost Ship (2002)
Plot hole: After the tugboat is sunk, the crew try to repair a very old ocean liner - the ghost ship - using equipment that could only have come from the tugboat, which had the latest scuba gear and welding gear, but they are all at the bottom of the ocean in the blown-up tugboat.
Suggested correction: The salvage crew are shown very early on bringing a variety of equipment onto the liner long before their own ship is sunk. It is obviously intended to insinuate where the salvage gear required later came from.

Chosen answer: According to Wikipedia, excelsior is a Latin adjective meaning "higher" or "loftier", used in English as an interjection with a poetic meaning of "ever upward." The characters have a goal and are striving to achieve something lofty.
