Plot hole: When Marcel is running through the underground chasm, Chazz emerges from a small passageway that Marcel passes. The last time Chazz was seen, he was one of the Duel Ghouls approaching Jaden at the end of the previous episode. Marcel only got to where he was so quickly because jumped and ran through a chasm he opened, so there's no way Chazz could have gotten down there through a hidden passageway before him. (00:03:35)

Continuity mistake: When Jaden jumps into the underground chasm, Blair and Bonaparte turn around and see that the Duel Ghouls are still approaching them. At this moment, Bonaparte is behind Blair. When Pharaoh leaps up at the Duel Ghouls, Bonaparte is ahead of Blair. (00:03:08)

Continuity mistake: At the end of the previous episode, just after Marcel opened the hole in the ground, an overview shot showed the Duel Ghouls that were approaching, in a vertically aligned queue, with no more than two beside one another. At the start of the episode, the queue appears to be more horizontally aligned, with the Ghouls positioned side-by-side. (00:01:57)

Plot hole: When Marcel is standing in an abandoned area, he hears Bonaparte shout his name. Adrian is then seen standing a short distance behind Marcel, and then hides once he sees Bonaparte approaching. There's no way Bonaparte didn't see Adrian. Even if Adrian hid, Bonaparte was already close enough to see Marcel, so he should have seen Adrian as well, or at the very least, seen him on his way to find Marcel. (00:17:10)

Other mistake: After Jesse summons Sapphire Pegasus, he says he can now summon another Crystal Beast in his spell and trap card zone. In a close-up of his hand, there are four cards, and we can see Ruby Carbuncle is on the right-hand side. Jesse then reaches for the trap card next to Ruby Carbuncle, but then Jesse summons Ruby Carbuncle in his spell and trap zone despite not picking it. (00:15:10)

Continuity mistake: When Jaden is asking Jesse if he saw where the guy with the pompadour went, in the wide shot, Alexis can be seen standing 90° perpendicular on his right. When the shot cuts, Alexis is standing 90° perpendicular, but a few meters ahead of him. (00:11:27)

Continuity mistake: When Hassleberry and the Obelisk Blue students are trying to close to doors to the gym while the Ghouls are approaching, Hassleberry attempts to help Syrus when he sees him. He is then stopped by an Obelisk Blue student who puts his left hand on the top of his shoulder. When the shot cuts, his right hand is suddenly placed on the side of his shoulder. (00:00:18)

Stupidity: Jaden places a wet cloth on Blair's forehead. However, he places the cloth on top of Blair's fringe, instead of brushing it away, which would make it harder for the water to touch her skin. (00:03:02)

Continuity mistake: After Jaden accepts Marcel's offer to duel, a couple of students berate him. Jaden then says "Come on, guys, we can win. After all, we can't afford to lose", with his right hand raised. In the next shot, his right hand is lowered. (00:13:59)

Continuity mistake: When Miss Fontaine and the Obelisk students stand back up, Jesse summons Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger. In the shot of the tiger appearing, there is some rubble on the floor beneath him. Jesse then places Blair over his back, and when he tells him to take Blair to the gym, the rubble on the floor has disappeared. (00:19:20)

Continuity mistake: After Jesse says "If Jaden doesn't step it up soon, Blair won't be the only one who needs some first aid", Miss Fontaine draws a card from her deck. Her right hand is raised while she looks at the card. Then there is a close-up of the card, where her hand remains completely still. When the shot cuts again, her right hand is lowered. (00:13:10)

Continuity mistake: When Miss Fontaine uses the effect of her monster to make Jaden lose life points equal to half Flame Wingman's attack points, in the shot of Jaden getting blasted, Jesse can be seen in the background "I got Blair, Jaden." The shot then cuts to Jesse, where Blair is suddenly raised to be level with his neck, and a bottle has suddenly appeared in his hand. (00:12:05)

Stupidity: Right before the duel with Miss Fontaine, Jaden tells Jesse to sneak around and give the first aid to Blair. Rather than do exactly that, Jesse decides to stand behind Jaden and watch him duel for a few minutes, instead of going over to help her. He even repositions himself to be on Jaden's right, which would make it harder to get to Blair, even though his original position (on Jaden's left), would've made it easier for him to sneak around to her. Continuity mistake: When Jaden accepts Miss Fontaine's duel, there is a shot where Fontaine says "Prepare to join us. You too, Jesse", and three Obelisk Blue students are behind her. There is one directly behind her, one to her left, and one to her right. When the shot cuts, two of the students are on her left. (00:09:12)

Continuity mistake: When the Duel Ghouls are banging on the door to the nurse's office, there is a shot of a Ra Yellow student banging on the door with his right hand, and an Obelisk Blue student banging on the door with his shoulder. When the shot cuts, the Ra Yellow student's right hand is suddenly lowered. (00:00:40)

Revealing mistake: When Miss Fontaine is trying to contact Jaden, after she says "Please hurry", it cuts to a closer shot of her where she sighs. When this happens, she lifts the communication device up and down slightly. There is a small part of the device that is shadowed, but she moves slightly, the shadow suddenly vanishes. It doesn't fade away; it just blinks out of existence. (00:00:23)

Continuity mistake: When Winged Kuriboh is flying through the hallways, a group of Duel Ghouls turn around to face him. There is a shot of a Ra Yellow student and an Obelisk Blue student turning to him and start walking side-by-side. The next shot, the Ra Yellow student is 90° perpendicular to the Obelisk Blue student and turns around again. (00:03:15)

Continuity mistake: After Flame Wingman blows a hole in the wall and the gang escapes, the Duel Ghouls walk up to the wall. There are two circular pieces of rubble on the floor that move closer to the wall when it is shown from the outside. (00:19:20)

Continuity mistake: When the main characters find Syrus crying in the locker room, in the shot of Syrus saying "Go away, you guys", Syrus' head appears to be bent forward at a 45 degree angle. When the shot cuts, his head is fully lowered at a 90-degree angle. (00:17:37)
