Continuity mistake: When Jaden and Syrus are saying goodbye to Chumley, Jaden extends his hand and Chumley grabs onto it with both his hands. Jaden has his thumb over Chumley's fingers at first, but when the shot cuts, Jaden's hand is completely covered by Chumley's hands. (00:18:39)

Continuity mistake: After Jaden has picked up the Level 1 card, in the shot of Syrus saying to Jaden he really lucked out, there is one card on the table in front of Chumley. A couple seconds later, when the shot focuses on Chumley and Syrus after Jaden begins the story, there are suddenly two cards in front of Chumley. (00:02:29)

Continuity mistake: When Crowler reveals the rare cards in his jacket, on the top row, there is a spell card with an orange hammer on the illustration (This card is called Hammer Shot). There are then a series of close-ups of the card, and when the Hammer Shot card is shown in the close-up, it is suddenly on one of the middle rows. (00:08:10)

Plot hole: When the collection of rare cards is shown inside Crowler's jacket, the Fusion monster Ojama King can be seen as one of the rare cards. However, Chazz doesn't acquire the Ojama cards until later in the season, and he is unaware of their existence until he gets them. Also, the Ojama cards are depicted as relatively useless, unless used in the right way, so it is extremely doubtful that an Ojama card would be seen in a collection of cards that are depicted as rare and valuable. Continuity mistake: When Crowler breaks the lock to the girls' dorm, the lock and the chain that the lock is placed in land on the ground. The chain changes position when Syrus runs past it later in the scene. (00:06:02 - 00:06:52)

Other mistake: When Jaden summons Elemental Hero Clayman to the field, the card is shaded orange. Clayman does not have special abilities, and monsters without abilities are shaded yellow, and monsters with abilities are shaded yellow. The card also appears to be flipped, as the attack and defence points shown on the card are reversed. (00:16:50)

Audio problem: After Jaden says he and Syrus are their new roommates, Chumley turns his back to Jaden and Syrus to go back to sleep. Jaden and Syrus then turn to each other and say "Uh", but their lips don't move. (00:03:40)

Stupidity: When Crowler goes into the chicken coop, he leaves the door to the coop wide open. Leaving the door open could have risked the chance of the chickens running out of the coop. (00:00:20)

Audio problem: After Jaden and Zane shake hands and the duel starts, there is a wide shot of the arena where the students are heard cheering for them. But the students all appear to be sitting completely still and motionless, and their mouths don't move in any way. (00:06:35)

Continuity mistake: When Jaden summons Bubbleman to the field, he uses the card's special ability to draw two more cards from his deck. There are two cards in his right hand, due to him drawing them from his deck. But then there is a close-up of his right hand, where there is now only one card in his hand. (00:11:00)

Amnael's Endgame: Part 1 - S1-E45
Continuity mistake: At the start of the duel, in the shot where Amnael says "Is that so? But what if you do not possess what it takes Jaden", there are five cards in his hand. The card positioned second to Amnael's right is placed beneath the other four cards. A couple seconds later, after activating Chaos Distil, whilst he is explaining the card's effect, the card positioned second to his right is now placed over the card to the right of it. Continuity mistake: When Chumley picks up Pharoah after finding him, Jaden and Syrus walk over to him. Light can be seen cast over the three of them from the torches they are holding, but in the next shot, the light from the torch has disappeared from their bodies. (00:16:48)

In the background, Crowler and Sheppard can be seen sitting in the seating area, but their bodies don't appear to be aligned with the seats and are shown passing onto the seat next to them. Continuity mistake: A woman walks into the classroom holding an abandoned bag. When Banner asks "May I help you", the woman's hands are positioned outside of the straps, but when the shot cuts, her hands are inside of the straps. Also, during the shot, she has her right hand off the bag, but when it cuts to a close-up of the bag, her right hand is suddenly holding onto it. (00:04:35)

Continuity mistake: When everyone is walking in the hallway, Chazz takes out his Ojama Yellow card. He is holding it with two fingers, but when it cuts to a close-up of the card, Chazz's fingers cannot be seen holding it. (00:06:10)

Continuity mistake: When Chazz is ranting in his room, in the shot where Ojama Yellow comes out of his deck, the deck of cards shown on his bed is positioned at a rotated angle. A couple seconds later, when he says "If you want to see pressure" to Ojama Yellow, the deck of cards is now no longer positioned at an angle. Then, later in the scene after Syrus tells Chazz his door is way over there, the deck of cards is further down the bed. (00:00:12 - 00:00:43)
