Continuity mistake: Part 7: The car Captain Henry parks near the cliff at the very end moves itself between takes. It's sitting on the road when he parks it, but when we cut to an overhead shot after he gets out, the car has suddenly moved off the road and into the dirt alongside it.

Revealing mistake: "The Crash": Due to the use of both models and stock footage, what is supposed to be one airplane has three very different appearances. As the passengers board, we see the "real" plane. In the air, it's another plane altogether (stock footage). When it crashes (a model), it looks completely different yet again.

Factual error: When Pug comes home, Rhoda puts on a Christmas record. The record player has an automatic changer that drops the disc and then moves the arm into place. Though a small 45 rpm changer was designed as early as 1938, and this movie's set in 1942, the type Rhoda uses here wasn't around for another 20 years. (00:09:00)

Show generally

Factual error: In the final scene of the mini-series, Captain Henry stands on a cliff next to his car, looking down at Pearl Harbor. But Pearl Harbor is surrounded by entirely flat terrain. There are no cliffs.

Factual error: The earthquake that virtually leveled the Greek island of Cephallonia occurred in 1953, not in 1947 as depicted here.

Jean G

Factual error: The movie is set in 1943, yet the characters in one scene are talking about Rome having fallen to the Allied Forces. That didn't occur until April of 1944.

Continuity mistake: "A Stranger in Time, Part 2": Darien's arrival in 1993, shown in part 1, is recapped in part 2. But the director appears to have chosen different takes for the recap. Much of the dialogue differs substantially, and Selma's explanation that he's materialized in the ladies' room is left out altogether.

Plot hole: "Showdown": Darien's lost hat and jacket reappear without explanation after Kane finds him wandering in the desert. Also unexplained is how Kane conveniently happens to be leading an extra, unnecessary horse - unnecessary, at least, until he stumbles across the stranded Darien. (00:15:00)

Revealing mistake: "Darien Comes Home": When Zack puts the body in the driver's seat, the car is a black 1990s sedan. When he pushes it over the cliff, however, stock footage turns the car into a much older model that's now gray instead of black. (00:04:50)

Continuity mistake: "A Stranger in Time, Part 2": Darien crawls through a sewer pipe and exits through a rusty grate, yet doesn't have a speck of dirt on his clothes. Later in interrogation, smudges appear on his sweatshirt, but those vanish again when he escapes. (00:26:45)

Revealing mistake: Part 3: When the U.S. squadron leader's plane crashes alongside the Akagi, the use of stock footage places an American fighter plane on the deck of what's supposed to be a Japanese ship. The star on its wing is visible as the flaming plane sweeps by in the background. (00:49:45)

Factual error: Part 3: Byron drives his mom through Hollywood, passing the landmark "Hollywood" sign on the hillside. But in 1942, that sign would still have its original configuration, which read "Hollywoodland." It wasn't truncated until 1949. (01:32:30)

Plot hole: 3-11 "The Reckoning": Vincent reveals the underground kingdom to Diana for what is meant to be the first time. But she was already there twice in the previous episode, which was definitely not shown out of chronological order. She was taken below by the helpers to meet with Father, and was there again at the end when Vincent christened his son "Jacob." (00:08:10)

Continuity mistake: 3-10 "Invictus": Diana crawls several hundred feet through a corroded, rusty pipe and comes out in Gabriel's basement without a smudge on her anywhere. (00:41:30)

Show generally

Continuity mistake: 3-10 "Invictus": Diana crawls through the pipe, which we were told at the outset is the only underground passage and is barely large enough for her to fit through. Yet after saving Vincent, she sends him back by the same route. He's twice her size and he's carrying the rescued baby, but somehow he manages to fit through. (00:39:00 - 00:41:50)
