Knocked Up (2007)

Continuity mistake: After Alison and Debbie aren't let into the dance club, they are sitting on a street curb. At one point, Debbie is shown with a cigarette in her hand near her mouth. The camera shot changes during mid-sentence and her hand is down at her side.

Continuity mistake: During the "running game" segment, Cross gets a cell phone that uses an earpiece and is told to keep it (for further instructions). When he gets to the subway loading platform, he gets another call, but he is not wearing the earpiece while he listens to the new instructions. Soon after that he is shown wearing the earpiece again while he listens.

Suggested correction: You probably haven't focused on Morgan Freeman's ear. The cord of the earphones are hard to see in that sequence and you may be led to think the whole apparatus is gone, but if you just look at his ear you'll see that from the entrance to the escalator to the platform to the train, in every part of the conclusion of the 'running game' happening in the station, Alex Cross is wearing the phone earpiece.

F/X (1986)

Audio problem: After the man is pushed into the pond, the main characters run away. While they are running, pay attention to the panting noises made by the woman. They do not match her mouth.

Continuity mistake: Darby calls a man who is alone in a hotel room (the one who gets shot soon thereafter). When the man hangs up the phone, his shower starts running almost immediately, which means he would have to have been teleported to the bathroom to accomplish this so quickly. (00:57:00)

Factual error: When Ms. Lewton takes out her mother's favorite record album, the label is obviously a fake. None of John Denver's albums had his name written that large on the label.

Suggested correction: I think this is for two reasons: i) Copyright. ii) To show to the audience she is going to die by making the song obvious to them.

Road House (1989)

Audio problem: Dalton has just been awakened by a young woman bringing breakfast into his bedroom. Pay attention to his mouth when he moans. The first few moans appear to have been dubbed in, as his mouth is closed, yet they sound like they would have to be made with an open mouth. (00:20:45 - 00:31:05)

The Net (1995)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Dr. Champion first meets with Angela in the hotel room, he tosses some folded clothes to her. In the shot where the clothes leave his hands, they are beginning to flip over forward, but when the camera switches to Angela catching them, they land perfectly upright.

Spellbound (1945)

Continuity mistake: During Ingrid Bergman's first scene, she is having a psychiatric session with a patient. Suddenly, you hear the sound of the door opening. The camera immediately goes to the door, showing two men standing side by side, both perfectly still and standing in a place that would have required more movement than the time allotted between shot changes.

Grumpier Old Men (1995)

Continuity mistake: When Maria dumps the pot of red sauce onto Max and John, the first shot has her nearly emptying the pot. When the camera shifts to Max and John, the sauce keeps flowing in large amounts after the pot should have been empty.

Rear Window (1954)

Revealing mistake: In the shot of the helicopter hovering above the apartment building, the blue screen technique is needlessly revealed by the eratic and physically impossible movements of the chopper. This could have been avoided if the camera shooting the aircraft had been stationary. It appears, however, that it was a handheld shot.

Seabiscuit (2003)

Trivia: The Pimlico race track shown in this movie was not really Pimlico at all. The track the producers chose to represent what Pimlico looked like in those days was far from Baltimore, Maryland. It was the Keeneland race track in Lexington, Kentucky.
