Continuity mistake: When Reliant is hit, a large piece of debris falls to the deck, killing Joachim. In the wide shot as Khan makes his way to the debris, a large mass of hanging wires dangles from the ceiling, lower than Khan's head while he is bent over. But the next closer shot has Khan standing erect, lifting the debris, and the wires have vanished. (DVD Director's Cut). (01:28:20)

Heat (1995)

Continuity mistake: The ambulance that de Niro steals at the start of the film has a red stripe on the sides, but for the remainder of the film there is also a silver 'L'-shaped graphic as well.

Pilot - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: As the FBI agent shows his ID to Dixon, it is in his right hand, the badge end up. He holds a folder in his left hand. The camera cuts away for just a moment, then returns to show the ID in his left hand, badge to the right, and the folder is in his right hand, all without enough time to make the switches. Continuity mistake: As Cromartie is approaching the Dyson home, he carries an automatic rifle with his right arm. As he makes a turn toward the left, he lowers the rifle down to his side, pointing it at the ground. He hears a car start and an instant camera angle change shows the rifle is still pointed forward and upward, not down, with no time for the change. (00:32:55)

The Big Hit (1998)

Factual error: When the hitmen shoot out the windshield of the yellow Firebird, it shatters into pieces and falls apart. All DOT windshields have a plastic coating on both sides of the glass so that it remains one big sheet, regardless of the many pieces the glass in-between shatters into. No US windshield in the last 40 years is tempered - they are all coated. Side and back glass are tempered. As for objects poking holes and other "possibilities", watch the film before suggesting things that do not occur in this specific crash.

Hallowed Ground (2007)

Audio problem: When the cop saves the girl from the mob of locals, his car tires squeal as he accelerates away, but the car is on loose dirt, which makes the squealing impossible.

Factual error: Cameron tries to stop Ferris from borrowing his father's red sports car, explaining that it's an extremely rare and valuable '61 Ferrari 250 GT California. But the car itself is not a real Ferrari. It was manufactured by Modena Design and Development of El Cajon, California, and is a "Modena GT250" which strongly resembles the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder. Since the film makers were throwing the car out of a window, using a real Ferrari was 'cost-prohibitive'. Comparing the real Ferrari to the Modena, differences include the Modena's sharper body crease above the grille, the more steeply angled headlamp covers, higher-mounted emblem and counter-sunk hood scoop.

The West Wing (1999)

Trivia: Janel Moloney (Donna Moss) was originally intended to be a rarely seen or heard background player (similar to Tobey and Sam's assistants). But very quickly, her banter and rapport with Josh became a fan favorite and she was promptly made a regular cast member and given much more screen time. When Mandy was dropped from the show after season one, Moira Kelly's name and image were dropped from the opening credits, replaced by Janel. As they say, "There are no small parts. Only small actors."

Batman (1966)

Show generally

Revealing mistake: The Batcave was a stage set with no real exit for the car. So in many episodes where a shot is looking into the cave from the darker tunnel as the Batmobile approaches and passes to our right, the rear end of the car jumps upward and tire skid marks appear on the floor as the driver slams on the brakes to avoid hitting the studio wall that is out of the shot, while the audio suggests the car is still accelerating.

Batman (1966)

Batman trivia picture

Trivia: The 1966 T.V. Batmobile was created from a decade-old "concept show car" designed and built in 1955 by Ford's Lincoln Division. It was called the Lincoln Futura, and was originally a pearlescent pale green. After several years on the car show rounds (and an appearance in one movie, repainted red), it was sold for $1 to George Barris who stored it outdoors for 6 years. When FOX called looking for Barris to build a car for the show, they gave him 3 weeks, so he grabbed this already-weird looking car he had out back, sketched a few changes and passed the physical work to Bill Cushenberry. It was finished on time and the rest is history.

Smack in the Middle (2) - S1-E2

Continuity mistake: Just after the Joker tells the fake Robin to turn on her homing beacon, a quick shot of the Batmobile approaching shows it isn't glossy black with cherise red trim as normal, but is instead flat black with white trim. This footage was from pre-series testing, painting the car different ways to see how it would look best on film, but somehow this footage was actually used in the episode by mistake. (00:06:20)

Fine Feathered Finks (1) - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: When Batman starts the Bat-Turn, the parachutes are shown deploying on a 6-lane major roadway (3 lanes in each direction) in a very open area, but after completing the 180-degree turn, the car is shown driving away from the crumpled chutes on a much narrower side street among tall buildings. Batman (1966)

Show generally

Revealing mistake: Most of the first season's episodes follow a standard outline where, after the opening credits, Batman and Robin arrive in the Batcave via the Batpoles, run and enter the Batmobile and drive off, along the winding, dusty roads toward Gotham, then arrive in front of City Hall, exit the car and run up the stairs. But very quickly it becomes obvious that every bit of this is the same footage used over and over. As they get in the car, it's on a black platform which vanishes as the car starts moving. The same cloud of dust appears as the car's rear heads into the distance on the winding road, and the same crowd of people are in front of City Hall, nearly every episode.

Batman (1966)

Batman mistake picture

Revealing mistake: Whenever the moving Batmobile is emitting flames from the afterburner, like when it leaves the Batcave for the first time, an object is hung below the exhaust port that resembles a camcorder. The gadget is part of the equipment added to make the car shoot flames while moving. During the TV series, flames are only seen in close-up of the car motionless, as this was a prop comprised of a copy of just the last few feet of the car. On TV, the car's rear license plate is visible. In this film, it's partially blocked by the added equipment. (00:03:35)
