The Living Legend (2) - S1-E13

Deliberate mistake: When Starbuck and Apollo attack the 'flank missile launchers' of the two Cylon base stars, the shots of the launchers exploding are actually of the laser cannons on the Galactica (note the red horizontal striping on the "wall" behind each cannon). (00:44:30)

The Young Lords - S1-E11

Plot hole: After crashing on the planet, Starbuck's pants are shown torn open on his right thigh which is bleeding significantly. The child warriors find him and bandage his wound. When Boomer and Apollo arrive to pick up Starbuck, they give him a clean uniform. In the next scene, he is in that uniform, but his injured leg is wrapped in bloody bandages over the new pant leg. It seems unlikely he'd put the fresh pants on, then bandages. (00:44:40)

The Lost Warrior - S1-E6

Continuity mistake: When Marcos places his bet, he has a gold mug to his right on the table. When the shot reverses to show Lacerta, the mug has vanished. The mistake alternates, repeating itself throughout the entire scene. (00:23:20)

The Gun on Ice Planet Zero (1) - S1-E8

Revealing mistake: When the 'snow ram' loses power and stops, the crew jumps out to see what has happened. The snow surface behind the ram is undisturbed and trackless, as if the ram has been stationary long enough for its tracks to be erased. This is because it is actually on a set and has not moved at all. (00:34:00)

The Living Legend (1) - S1-E12

Plot hole: Galactica's sensors detect a second Battlestar, Pegasus- a shock to everyone aboard. Then its commander, Cain, speaks with Adama via video hookup, and announces that he'll be arriving at Galactica momentarily. Yet he arrives in a Galactica shuttle, marked "GAL 356", which hasn't been sent to go get him since they only just now discovered Pegasus exists. Even worse, this is the same shuttle destroyed several episodes ago when it crashed on Ice Planet Zero. (00:10:55)

Baltar's Escape - S1-E21

Continuity mistake: When Adama exits the cell, the shot from inside shows the guard's right arm is down at his side. When the shot changes to a view from outside the cell, the guard's arm is raised with his hand working the cell door control. (00:07:10)

The Long Patrol - S1-E7

Revealing mistake: When Apollo fires at Robber, his shot hits a pillar, knocking a chunk of it off. As he runs behind the pillar, a circular device dangles from a wire in the damaged part of the pillar- the remnants of the effects charge that was used to cause the damage. (00:33:45)

The Man with Nine Lives - S1-E17

Plot hole: Considering Galactica's mission of protecting the entire fleet, she wouldn't risk having recruits brought aboard that haven't been through a security screening already, especially a pair from a known warrior-like race, both of whom are wearing weapons openly. Nor would they be guarded by a crewman who willingly answers classified questions about locations of decorated Warriors posed by total strangers. Yet all of these gross security oversights occur in this one episode.

Baltar's Escape - S1-E21

Other mistake: When Adama arrives to interrogate the Commandant, the guard reaches up to a control panel on the wall to open the cell door, but before he touches it, the door begins to slide open. (00:03:30)

Greetings from Earth (2) - S1-E20

Continuity mistake: The Commandant of the Alliance destroyer is told the homing beacon on Paradeen is no longer transmitting. Yet in the next scene on Paradeen, Michael asks Vector if the beacon has been destroyed, as ordered, and Vector replies that he forgot to do it.

Greetings from Earth (2) - S1-E20

Deliberate mistake: In a wide shot Cassiopeia announces it is time for the children to go to bed, and they react with normal hoots of false shock and whining. Then the shot changes to a close-up and the same moment repeats, with the children again seemingly surprised and dismayed by the announcement. (01:02:00)

The Living Legend (2) - S1-E13

Continuity mistake: When Baltar sees the Pegasus, it is approaching with her bow toward Baltar's port side. The next exterior shot shows Baltar's ship heading with its bow toward Pegasus' starboard side, as if Baltar's ship reversed, letting Pegasus pass in front, then went forward again and veered sharply right to avoid collision. (00:04:10)

The Man with Nine Lives - S1-E17

Revealing mistake: When one of the Nomen throws his "boles" at a support column, it is obvious in the side shot that the actor never really lets them go, but just turns his hand to block sight of them as his hand drops. The glow can be seen traveling downward, despite the next shot showing the lighted weapon traveling forward. (00:11:30)

Fire in Space - S1-E14

Continuity mistake: When a Cylon ship prepares to ram the Galactica's bridge, a Cylon aboard states "1 micron" (a measure of time) until impact, and it takes 14 real seconds to do so. But when another heads for Galactica's landing bay, a Cylon aboard says "5 microns" until impact, and takes only 9 real seconds to do so. (00:07:00 - 00:07:45)

The Gun on Ice Planet Zero (2) - S1-E9

Revealing mistake: After an avalanche, Apollo gets off a guy he has sheltered. Around them, in the fake snow, are several chunks of ice or snow. As Apollo moves forward, note how they move less like snow, and just like the Styrofoam that they actually are. (00:29:25)

johnrosa

The Long Patrol - S1-E7

Revealing mistake: When Robber starts shooting at Apollo and Boomer, it's comically obvious that the two warriors have been replaced by stunt doubles that bear almost no resemblance to the actors- most notably as they run for cover. (00:32:55)

Battlestar Galactica mistake picture

Fire in Space - S1-E14

Deliberate mistake: When the Cylon ship rams the landing bay and explodes, the many quick-cut fiery destruction shots are lifted from a classic World War II film (possibly "The Guns of Navarone"). Note the stone walls (and the tanker truck just left of center in the second such shot). (00:08:05)

The Living Legend (2) - S1-E13

Revealing mistake: As Pegasus approaches the two forward base stars, she is shown from the rear of her port side, moving away from camera. The shot is a reversed image of Galactica (her name is backwards on the landing bay). After the vipers clear a path for her, the same shot is flipped again, so that Galactica reads properly, despite the shot purportedly being of Pegasus. (00:43:55 - 00:45:05)
