Grindhouse (2007)

Continuity mistake: When the driver of the white car first shoots at Mike, he drives off. The next shot shows the Challenger is wearing the very shiny beauty rings on its wheels that we saw prominently ejected from the car earlier in the chase. (01:35:40 - 01:38:10)

Grindhouse (2007)

Continuity mistake: When the two cars leap off a dirt ramp as they approach the highway on the dirt road, we can see the highway ahead has not one car on it. But when the shot changes, a bunch of oncoming cars are braking to avoid the two speeders that are crossing ahead of them. (01:44:10)

Grindhouse (2007)

Continuity mistake: At one point in the big chase, Mike's car causes the other to spin out and reverse direction. As the white car is sliding around toward the left, Mike's car swerves to the right to make the same turn behind them. Yet the inside view shows the white car sliding to a stop and Mikes car is ahead of them. (01:35:40)

Grindhouse (2007)

Continuity mistake: When the white car returns from the side road to collide with the black car, the interior shot from the white car shows they miss hitting the black one and are pulling in behind it. The rearward outside shot that follows shows the white car striking the black one in the driver's door. (01:48:10)

Angel Heart (1987)

Continuity mistake: As Angel pours his drink in close-up, a pair of dice are next to the glass, almost touching each other, and both have "5" facing away from Angel (and toward us). When the shot widens as he puts the bottle down, the dice are far apart and the one closest to the glass has "3" facing away from Angel. (00:35:30)

Transformers (2007)

Transformers mistake picture

Continuity mistake: During the final battle, Sam rolls on the pavement and reverses direction as a jet-bot lands and transforms. The next wide shot shows Sam scurrying alongside the passenger-side fender of a black Mercedes sedan as another black car is tumbling over the Mercedes' hood, its doors wide open. This same moment repeats in the next shot, from another angle, but suddenly Sam isn't at the fender of the Mercedes- he has vanished. The angle changes again and the same moment repeats a 3rd time, and Sam is still missing. Then, a closeup shot is looking up past Sam as mayhem rages above, and the black Mercedes he huddles against is suddenly a red car. (02:01:20)

Transformers (2007)

Revealing mistake: When Devastator (the tank-bot) is activated and exits its base through a fence, the upper, obviously-rubber, cannon barrels wiggle around. (01:39:15)

Parallax - S1-E3

Plot hole: To escape the 'event horizon', a rupture in it is widened to 120 meters (which allows 2 meters clearance on each side of the ship). Soon after, the rupture has shrunk to 110 meters wide, and Janeway decides to 'punch through' anyway. The ship does so with little difficulty, but the whole issue seems pointless since the rupture was far larger 'vertically' than 'horizontally' (relative to the view from the ship), so tipping the ship on its side would have allowed plenty of clearance to slip right through.

Little Children (2006)

Continuity mistake: When Ronnie smashes his mother's clocks and collectibles, the wide shot shows all the shelves to our right are cleared of all debris. But the next close-up shows two large pieces of a smashed figurine are still on one of those shelves. (01:57:10)

What You Leave Behind (2) - S7-E26

Continuity mistake: After Dukat kills Adami, he clutches a large book to his chest with his right arm. Sisko charges at Dukat, who, still clutching the book, turns to face Sisko. When the camera angle changes to show Dukat from behind, he is holding no book - and he wraps his right arm around Sisko as they fall off the cliff. The following overhead shot shows that Dukat still clutches the book (not Sisko) as the two fall into the fire. (The Region 1 'Season 7' DVD set includes this two-parter as a single, longer episode and my timecode is based on this fact). (01:13:45)

'Til Death Do Us Part (2) - S7-E18

Continuity mistake: When the Breen fling Dax into the cell after interrogating her, she (the stunt woman) lands front-down, facing her left side, with her left knee raised. (To clarify her body position, if she were vertical, it would appear her left foot was resting on the seat of a chair) The camera angle changes instantly so that we see Worf rush to her side as he kneels on one knee. But that knee is on the ground exactly where Dax's knee should still be. But it isn't, because both her legs are suddenly straight. (00:32:40)

Strange Bedfellows (3) - S7-E19

Continuity mistake: When Dukat pours wine (in close-up) for himself and Adami, the glasses each contain very different amounts of wine as he puts the bottle down. But in the wider shot, he hands Adami her glass while holding his own, and both appear to have the same amount of wine. (00:16:30)

A Simple Investigation - S5-E17

Continuity mistake: When Arissa is first interviewed in Odo's office, she displays a 'data port' that is embedded below and behind her left ear in her upper neck. Her hair is styled to make it visible, and the port seems to be there for the entire scene, tho almost completely obscured at times. The second time she's in Odo's office, her hair style is the same, making it very obvious the port has now vanished, and it's gone the entire scene. For the third visit to Odo's office, the port appears and disappears at random. Apparently this scene was comprised of shots from the two separate shoots that made up the first two office scenes. (00:08:55 - 00:11:40)

Continuity mistake: During the final battle, Borodin announces "Torpedo impact, 20 seconds". Ramius and Ryan discuss a book Ryan has written for the full 20 seconds, then Borodin updates, saying "10 seconds.." It's then a further 15 seconds before the torpedo actually hits. (01:58:10)

Continuity mistake: As the helicopter nears the Dallas sub, Ryan is in the right-side doorway at the rear of the opening. A spotter is on the same side of the craft, at the front of the opening. The spotter looks straight out the right side of the chopper and shouts for the pilots to turn left, as he has spotted the Dallas at three o'clock (which is where he is looking). But turning left moves away from the Dallas, not towards it. (01:23:30)

Plot hole: As the Nautilus makes its way along a canal in Venice, you can see a bridge ahead of it that is far too low for the sub to pass under. Yet without altering its running depth, the sub miraculously appears in the canal well beyond this bridge moments later, and that bridge is not damaged.

johnrosa

Continuity mistake: The opening shots of Red October sub show water slapping against it. At the water line, the flat/vertical sides of the fake sub are visible - a very different look than the underwater model's tapered sides. (00:03:00 - 00:29:30)

Factual error: When Justice is talking to Sheriff Branford of Deason County Arkansas, Justice is told that he is out of his Texas jurisdiction. But a sign behind Branford tells us that Branford is also a long way from home, as the sign indicates he is in Willow Bend, Clayton County, in Georgia (where this scene was actually filmed).

The Siege (1998)

Plot hole: Elise and Samir are in the back seat of Hub's car near a park, and Hub and his partner are standing outside the car. No one else is in the car. They pass notes as they know they are being watched and listened to. Elise and Samir walk away, and Hub and his partner get back into the front seats of the car and drive off. Suddenly a man jumps out of Hub's side of the front of the car and leads the soldiers in a foot chase. But it turns out not to be Hub, but a decoy, so Hub and partner can slip away. But this guy was not in the car before and they've been under surveillance, so this guy couldn't get in the car unseen and the decoy chase wouldn't have worked if he had been seen getting in the car. (01:33:40 - 01:36:15)

The Siege (1998)

The Siege mistake picture

Factual error: A computer screen is used to show that a matching record was found for the fingerprint of one of the terrorists. But the two prints shown are identical, meaning they are the same print, shown twice. In reality, a matching print would show the same patterns of skin texture, but the ink pattern, record quality, angle of the finger to the paper, would all vary. You can't make the exact same finger print twice. It's similar to you signature - it's always extremely similar, but never precisely the same. (00:31:40)
