White Heat (1949)

Revealing mistake: When our lead villain fires his shotgun at the cops behind the pipes, it lands in an almost perfectly square pattern instead of a more natural circle. The impacts look more like gaping exit wounds than where landed tiny pellets. The spread is also way too dense to miss the gaps that leave the cops exposed. (01:45:50)

The Highwaymen (2019)

Factual error: The movie depicts General Sibley's New Mexico campaign. This occurred in the first half of 1862, with the last battle occurring on June 1, prior to a Confederate retreat to Texas. General Sibley is seen, and he lost his battlefield command altogether in 1863. However, Angel Eyes makes reference to Andersonville prison, which did not open until 1864. The question is also begged as to how Arch Stanton, who died in February of 1862, had completely rotted away by May in dry soil.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly mistake picture

Continuity mistake: A dirty Union cavalry officer hits himself to clean off the dust that made him appeared Confederate. His first two strikes barely shake the dust on his uniform, yet, after a cutaway and two off-screen strikes, his arm is almost completely free of dust. (01:16:50)

Factual error: The judges reading Tuco and Shorty's death sentences mention them being wanted by so many counties within "the state." This cannot be correct. The battles the characters are near at all times in the film depict the battles over New Mexico. The Union never invaded Texas through its western deserts, despite landing in the Rio Grande valley. New Mexico was not a state until 1912 and was never treated as a state by the CSA. Thus, the judges should be saying territory.

The Monuments Men (2014)

Factual error: Roosevelt is shown receiving a report on all the Monuments Men's activities. However, finding the Madonna at Bruges takes place after the war ended in early May 1945, as the Russians are arriving to take over the areas in eastern Germany occupied by the Russians. President Roosevelt died in April 1945, so President Truman should be receiving the report.

Guns of Navarone (1961)

Factual error: German officers would not be present for the search of explosives and would certainly not take part in disarming them. Procedure would certainly have explosives experts do this while officers commanded the battle.

Guns of Navarone (1961)

Plot hole: When the Germans are drilling through the doors with jackhammers the drills are not touching the door and are just being held near the sides of the breach.

Continuity mistake: When the newborn alien is getting sucked out of the ship, the women have their hair pulled and strained in the wind. Yet, when we see a video of the women, their hair is not moving at all.

Guns of Navarone (1961)

Plot hole: When we see the two disguised commandos driving through the fortress there's a Soviet driving in the convoy. You can tell because the sides of the turret are curved down. This shouldn't be there as the Soviets never fought in Greece.

Guns of Navarone (1961)

Revealing mistake: When, during the final battle in the town, a German truck explodes from a grenade, it explodes from the inside of the bed. This isn't possible because the truck is covered by tarp and we can't see any way the grenade could get into the bed.

Bad Boys (1995)

Audio problem: When the bad guys attack the main girl's house, one is heard to be pumping his shotgun between shots. The gun is a SPAS-12, and the pump-action is only used when firing non-lethal rounds; otherwise it fires semi-automatically.
