Continuity mistake: There are two actresses playing Dorothy (and two dogs playing Toto) as she opens the door to Oz. The first is a stand-in wearing a dull colored dress in order to make it look black and white. After she opens the door and moves out of the way, Judy Garland is who we actually see walking through. Revealing mistake: When Jake returns a second time to talk to Russ Yelburton they go into Hollis Mulwray's office and a lot of the pictures have been taken off the walls. The crew makes a very lame attempt, using spray paint, to make it look as though the paintings have been hanging on a wall for very long time. Earlier in the movie we see these same spots and there is obviously no discoloration on the walls. (00:55:55)

Continuity mistake: At Hollis Mulwray's office look closely at the drapes behind his secretary as Jake first walks in. No one goes near them but by the time she gets back to her desk they've been rearranged. (00:51:25)
