Continuity mistake: Mitch takes two pillows from the couch and stuffs them into the openings between the fireplace and the table. Right after he does this each pillow falls but in the later shot the crew has tacked them up again in different spots. (00:55:15)

Continuity mistake: In her room as Melanie walks past the mirror the first time there is nothing on the upper wooden ledge in front of the glass. As she walks back from the window there's plenty of stuff there. (00:58:20)

Continuity mistake: Before Lydia walks up to Mr. Faucet's door the day is overcast with no sunlight shining underneath his porch. As she walks through the door it looks as though she's in bright sunlight with her shadow casts on the screen door. (00:59:25)

Revealing mistake: As Mitch pulls the cord of the lamp out of the socket, the bulb goes out before the crew turns off the spotlight on him. (01:42:10)

Continuity mistake: When Annie tells Melanie that she still likes Mitch a "hellava lot," watch the shadow of the fancy three-branched lamp to her left. As the phone rings, the shadow of the power cord against the wall in the middle of the screen disappears between shots. (00:45:00)

Continuity mistake: After Melanie rips up the message to Mitch, she grabs and closes her pocketbook twice. (00:22:35)

Continuity mistake: The top of the bird cage that Melanie brings to Mitch's apartment has 24 rungs but when we see it again on the floorboard of Melanie's car it has only 12 rungs. (00:11:10)

Continuity mistake: Mitch puts the table up against the opening of the fireplace twice. The first time the bottom of the table is pushed up closer to the fireplace than the second. (00:55:15)

Continuity mistake: The flashlight is aiming right at the doorknob before Melanie walks into the room. In the next shot, as she walks through the door (before they turn the spotlight on) there's no light because the flashlight is off and isn't pointing at the doorknob. (01:47:30)

Continuity mistake: As she runs down the hill from the school, Melanie passes by the same fence on the right twice. Once in the second shot when she's in front of Annie then again in the fifth shot when she's in the back behind everyone else. (00:13:40)

Continuity mistake: As Melanie and the cashier try to catch the bird they are close together in the close up but further apart in the next shot when we just see their hands in the air. (00:06:05)

Continuity mistake: When Melanie is being attacked by the birds she says, "Oh Mitch," and the cut below her right eye changes between shots. In the first shot it angles up and the second it's straight across. (01:48:45)

Audio problem: Talking to Melanie Annie gets up and says, "Afraid I'd give Mitch". This sentence is an obvious over-dub as the natural room echo that we hear in her previous and subsequent sentences disappears. (00:43:55)

Continuity mistake: When the orange car explodes there is much more gas around especially under the guy's feet than in the previous shot. (01:25:30)
