Trivia: This movie was the first ever Western movie that was co-produced with the Chinese Film Bureau. Shot on location in Shanghai, in southern Guangxi Province's green hills along the Li River, and on Beijing sound stages, it is also the first Western movie to be allowed to shoot entirely in China for decades, as stated by both the director, John Curran, and NPR.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008)
Other mistake: When Sarah puts Marty on the bus on his way home he steps onto the first step and turns to face Sarah as the door closes and the bus departs. It is against the law in California for buses to begin moving until passengers are on the main deck of the bus (one step up from the boy). This law was enacted after a child fell from the entry step of the bus (exactly where Marty stood), the doors opened and they were run over by the bus. California operates a zero tolerance policy on this matter; drivers know that a single infraction will result in the loss of their commercial drivers license and is taken very seriously by all drivers, without a single infraction having been reported in years.

Clothing, signage, and building designs also have a heavy Chinese influence.] Answered by MovieGuy." Survived what?

Continuity mistake: When Morris is on the bed following his shock there are three point of view (POV) shots. Morris on the bed, Morris's POV of the medical staff hovering over him and a shot from behind the staff looking down on Morris. The placement of characters is misaligned between views, most notably when the shot is from behind the staff looking down: there is a sizable gap between the two on the left and right, where as from Morris's POV they are clustered close together with no gaps between the staff members.

Dear Frankie (2004)
Trivia: In the scene where Ricky Monroe played by Sean Brown free-styles a hip-hop dance move in the hall outside Frankie's flat, that was entirely improvised by Sean Brown who had been "busting those moves" on set and had been the director's intent to work into the movie since she first witnessed them from the beginning of filming, according to the director's commentary. Dear Frankie (2004)
Continuity mistake: When Frankie and Lizzie meet the Stranger on the docks Sunday at 1:00pm, it is quite overcast when the Stranger asks Frankie, "Right. You choose, where do you want to go?" The shot immediately moves to a hillside overlooking the docks and the skies are almost completely clear and blue. We know a narrow window of time has passed based on information on what transpires before and after this scene. (01:10:50)

Dear Frankie (2004)
Continuity mistake: When the group is seated at a table and having drinks at the back of the Dance Hall, they toast each other (note Ally's hand on Marie's shoulder during the entire scene). Then when Marie makes her inappropriately familiar quip about the Strangers cigarettes, Ally's hand is still on her shoulder. Yet when the Master of Ceremony, who is Ally, is at center stage to introduce "Lizzie's Song". Ally appears to be in two places at once. (01:17:05)

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
Question: Can someone explain the significance of Draco Malfoy tearing out and pocketing the page from the book during the scene in the bookstore in Diagon Alley in the beginning of the movie?
Chosen answer: I think it is just meant to show that he has no respect for other peoples possessions. He must have seen a spell he liked, and 'stole' it. I have read the book and don't remember any significant reference to it in there either.

Solaris (2002)
Trivia: When Kelvin gives Rheya the pill to relax, note that she takes a sip of water first and then puts the pill in her mouth. When director, Steven Soderbergh, asked Natascha McElhone if she did this as a part of her performance, as possibly a statement that if "you are created by Solaris that is how you take a pill?" Natascha was confused and informed him that was simply how she took pills. (00:48:25)

The Quick and the Dead (1995)
Trivia: Star and Co-producer Sharon Stone was so adamant that Leonardo DiCaprio be cast as "The Kid" that when the production company refused his hiring, wanting a higher profile actor, she paid his salary personally out of her own pocket. She also hand-picked and insisted on the hiring of Russell Crowe, but fortunately for her pocketbook the production company agreed. (Source: IMDb)

Gladiator (2000)
Trivia: In an interview on the "Today" show Russell Crowe said that during the battle in Germania, after he was knocked off his horse, you see him fight his way onto his feet and then back into another man. Crowe turns to strike and the man looks shocked and terrified, the shot returns to Crowe, sword still raised but the scene cuts before he strikes. However, if you look just as the scene cuts you see Crowe obviously start to smile. This is because the other person was not an actor acting "panicked in the face of death", he was an extra out of place who had just backed into the lead actor on the last take of the day. In order to save the shot Crowe decided to "kill" him and move on, but as he raised his sword the extra pleaded, "But Mr. Crowe, I'm not supposed to die yet," causing Crowe to smile, which had to be cut out. Three Kings (1999)
Trivia: George Clooney and director David Russell got into a fist-fight when Clooney objected to the way Russell was treating some extras. In a moment of frustration, Russell lashed out and began berating the extras and Clooney stepped in to defend them. Later, Russell would say that he wouldn't make another movie with Clooney for $20,000,000. The Evil Dead (1981)
Trivia: When they are preparing and listening to the tape you can see a bit of smoke in the air. There had been an extended scene where they had been smoking pot and joking around. However, they used real pot when filming and much of what was shot ended up being unusable as a result. This is according to Bruce Campbell's Commentary to the DVD.

Solaris (2002)
Continuity mistake: After remembering the details of her suicide, Rheya is viewed from behind looking out the window and is sitting slightly to the right of the center of the window. In the next shot, when viewed from outside the window looking in, she is sitting to the far left of the (original) center. Even accounting for the change in camera angles it isn't even close. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)

Continuity mistake: When the Colonial militia leave after the parlay with Cornwallis, Benjamin Martin whistles for the two dogs. The dogs can be seen running through the gates at the heels of the militia but do not appear in any other of the scenes with the militia riding back to camp. (01:34:50)

A Fish Called Wanda (1988)
Continuity mistake: Near the end, when Otto has Archie in a barrel and Ken approaches on a cement roller note the pattern in the wet cement. When the camera zooms to Otto's feet stuck in the cement you can see pattern in cement where the cement roller has passed previously, stopping a few feet behind Otto. There is a visible line and the cement appears rougher beyond it. (01:42:00)

Dear Frankie (2004)
Deliberate mistake: Frankie's voice-over reading of the letter to his father does not match the text of the letter. He says, "Ricky Munroe told me. Trust him to put his big feet right in it. I've told him hundreds and hundreds of times." but the letter reads, "Ricky Munroe told me. Trust him to put his size threes right in it. He is rubbish at secrets. I've told him hundreds and hundreds of times." (00:21:15)

Chosen answer: It's never made entirely clear. What we know is that at some point, the Earth became unable to sustain those who lived there, resulting in a mass exodus to a new star system. At that point in the Firefly timeline, the two existing superpowers were the Americans and the Chinese. Whether other present-day nations might still have existed is never mentioned.
