Other mistake: When Sarah puts Marty on the bus on his way home he steps onto the first step and turns to face Sarah as the door closes and the bus departs. It is against the law in California for buses to begin moving until passengers are on the main deck of the bus (one step up from the boy). This law was enacted after a child fell from the entry step of the bus (exactly where Marty stood), the doors opened and they were run over by the bus. California operates a zero tolerance policy on this matter; drivers know that a single infraction will result in the loss of their commercial drivers license and is taken very seriously by all drivers, without a single infraction having been reported in years.

Continuity mistake: When Morris is on the bed following his shock there are three point of view (POV) shots. The placement of characters is misaligned between views, most notably when the shot is from behind the staff looking down: there is a sizable gap between the two on the left and right, where as from Morris's POV they are clustered close together with no gaps between the staff members.

MRIs have soft muted lights already in the machine (so technician can see the patient via cameras) they want you to rest and be calm to avoid claustrophobia, there are no bright lights. Deliberate mistake: Right after Stevie and Marla attempt sex in his snowplow, the camera cuts to Marla buttoning up 3 buttons on her sweater which takes less than 8 seconds. However, in that same amount of time, making little or no sound to support his actions, Stevie manages to put on his shirt, zip up his pants, pull back up his coveralls, re-Velcro them closed perfectly all the way up to his chest, pull up and reposition the suspenders to the coveralls and be sitting calmly with both hands on his thighs when the camera cuts back to him. Trivia: In an interview on the "Today" show Russell Crowe said that during the battle in Germania, after he was knocked off his horse, you see him fight his way onto his feet and then back into another man. Crowe turns to strike and the man looks shocked and terrified, the shot returns to Crowe, sword still raised but the scene cuts before he strikes. However, if you look just as the scene cuts you see Crowe obviously start to smile. This is because the other person was not an actor acting "panicked in the face of death", he was an extra out of place who had just backed into the lead actor on the last take of the day. In order to save the shot Crowe decided to "kill" him and move on, but as he raised his sword the extra pleaded, "But Mr. Crowe, I'm not supposed to die yet," causing Crowe to smile, which had to be cut out. Continuity mistake: After remembering the details of her suicide, Rheya is viewed from behind looking out the window and is sitting slightly to the right of the center of the window. In the next shot, when viewed from outside the window looking in, she is sitting to the far left of the (original) center. Even accounting for the change in camera angles it isn't even close. Revealing mistake: In Hagrid's hut, while Ron is still slug sick, Hagrid is comforting Hermione over Draco's mudblood comment. His beard is visibly detached below his lower lip and when he speaks his jaw moves while his beard does not. (00:41:15)

Continuity mistake: When the Colonial militia leave after the parlay with Cornwallis, Benjamin Martin whistles for the two dogs. The dogs can be seen running through the gates at the heels of the militia but do not appear in any other of the scenes with the militia riding back to camp. (01:34:50)

Continuity mistake: Near the end, when Otto has Archie in a barrel and Ken approaches on a cement roller note the pattern in the wet cement. When the camera zooms to Otto's feet stuck in the cement you can see pattern in cement where the cement roller has passed previously, stopping a few feet behind Otto. Deliberate mistake: Frankie's voice-over reading of the letter to his father does not match the text of the letter. He says, "Ricky Munroe told me. Trust him to put his big feet right in it. I've told him hundreds and hundreds of times." but the letter reads, "Ricky Munroe told me. Trust him to put his size threes right in it. He is rubbish at secrets.
