Touchdown - S9-E5

Factual error: When they have to jettison fuel during their final approach to the aircraft carrier, Rabb tells his co-pilot to dump 200 pounds of fuel. That is about 30 Gallons (about two normal car tanks). But there is way too much fuel being dumped to be only 30 gallons.

Touchdown - S9-E5

Factual error: Season 9 Episode 5, "Touchdown": When they approach the aircraft carrier, the copilot says that the number two engine is flaming out. This means there is no more fuel to run that engine. That supposedly also means that there is not enough fuel for a fire alarm lighting up in the cockpit, which is what happens in the show. (Verified by a USMC Staff Sergeant who flew 8 years on a C130).

JAG (1995)

Touchdown - S9-E5

Factual error: During the approach on the aircraft carrier, they had to put out the gear manually. The copilot shouts that she has three greens (meaning that all gears are down and locked), then she puts the gear lever up. If that is done, the gear would raise again or be in an unsafe position for the landing.

Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman - S1-E1

Factual error: When the woman is giving birth and Dr. Quinn has to perform a c-section, she gives the baby to Mrs. Cooper, and after about a minute, she gives the baby to the mother. Dr. Quinn then leans towards Mrs. Cooper and they smile happily; she doesn't attempt to continue the "surgery". Even nowadays doctors need several minutes to close up again after a c-section, so there is no way that Dr. Quinn was anywhere near finished. Leaving the patient cut open on the bed is pretty irresponsible, something she would never do as she has to prove that she is a good M.D. (00:30:00)

Factual error: When the Scottish scientist calls Hall, he tells him that the freezing temperature of fuel is -150° Fahrenheit. This isn't true, Jet A1, which is the type of fuel in such kind of choppers freezes at -52.6° Fahrenheit. The scientist says that he had to look it up, so he should have the correct figures and as this figure is quite important to estimate the temperature in the eye of the storm, he wouldn't mix it up.

The Life of Riley - S6-E17

Factual error: In the beginning, when the stranger kills the brumby with his rifle, you can see that the horse is still breathing when he is driving off. Also later, when the girls find the horse, you see it breathing. (Check the stomach near the legs.)

Hostage (2005)

Factual error: When Jeff Tally gets the first call from the little boy Tony, he checks both his cells. The blue Nokia is ringing however there isn't an incoming call on his phone, you see that as he has the two options, either "clear" and "options", meaning that the seven numbers have been typed in. The Show Must Go On - S11-E22

Factual error: When the woman is giving birth, they show the baby just after they finally got her out. The baby is clean, no blood and other signs of a recent birth are visible. This is especially unlikely since the doctors had to "cut her open" to liberate the baby from the birth channel.

The Island (2005)

Factual error: When the first train wheel hits the ground in the close up, you can see that it isn't made of steel as it deforms as if it were foam. And there is also no damage to the concrete road whatsoever, since the wheels are made of steel there should have been quite a big hole. (01:17:50)

S.W.A.T. (2003)

Factual error: In the scene where the Learjet takes off the jet starts to roll. Then there is the shooting with the SWAT team, towards the end of the shooting the pilot pushes the power levers forward to accelerate. Regarding the short take off run they had on the bridge, the pilot would have stayed on the brakes until the engines were at full thrust, then released the brakes, started rolling and wouldn't touch the power levers until after liftoff or in emergency.

Factual error: All the scenes which are supposed to play in Zürich were being shot in Prague, the capital of Czech Republic. The director didn't choose Zürich because the city was too clean for him. The signs on the walls are sometimes written in Czech language, and the people speak German with a strange (Czech) accent, not like someone from Zürich.

National Treasure (2004)

National Treasure mistake picture

Factual error: In the scene when Ben, Abigail and Riley are on the tower of Independence Hall, they look at the shadow marking the secret place where the glasses are hidden. It is 3:20. The shadow of the cross is in the second third of the pillar. When Ian is on the tower the shadow has already moved to the top of the wall. As the others have left Independence Hall at 3:28 the shadow must have traveled the distance in about 4 minutes. This is far too quickly. (01:12:20)
