Continuity mistake: In the scene when Hando is reading from Mein Kampf he joins his girlfriend on the bed. In the next shot a half-smoked cigarette appears in his hand holding the book. This is not there before nor after.

Trivia: After Sarge and Cooper break through the floor into the kitchen, Sarge retrieves his watch from the dismembered corpse of Witherspoon ("Spoon"). Cooper asks where Spoon is and the Sarge replies "There is no Spoon". A clear reference to the famous line from the original "Matrix". (01:32:30)

Factual error: Quite a few of the squad actually hold their weapons in either hand, in other words sometimes they have them left handed (Cooper actually has it left handed throughout). This is seen when they are together, so it is not through flipping of the negative. Apart from the fact that it is highly unlikely they would be skilled enough to be this ambidextrous, the SA80 is almost impossible to safely use this way. The ejecting cartridges would be fired out far to close to the face to be safe - if you look at the weapon in some shots you can see the port through which they are ejected - it is covered with a flap behind the cocking handle on the right hand side of the rifle). Revealing mistake: In the sequence when Lex almost falls from the hole in the ceiling, she looks straight back up at the camera. Rather than cut away from the stunt double at this point, they actually bothered to CGI the actress' face over the top so they could use the sequence right through. Unfortunately you can tell what's been done. (01:51:40)

Continuity mistake: When they are going through the gate to get on the plane, the teacher counts the pupils (in French). He counts upwards in ones, even when two pass him at the same time, arm in arm.

Trivia: Joshua - Rachel's boyfriend in this and a few episodes either side, was in fact Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend around that time.

Visible crew/equipment: The very first shot of a Harpy attacking the blind man is not up to the high standard of the rest of Harryhausen's work in this film - you can easily see two wires suspending the model as it "flies" down. These are better hidden in later shots.

Continuity mistake: When Talos comes after the Argonauts, he reaches his hand through an archway in the rocks. After he withdraws his hand (in Harryhausen stop motion), notice one of the Argonauts wriggling and struggling against the rocks as if still trying to get away - the actor doesn't know what the end shot will be like and is still hamming long after the hand is gone.

Trivia: Stars Paul Newman and Steve McQueen apparently argued intensely over who should get top billing. In the end the producers settled for a compromise: reading the film poster (which is reproduced as the DVD cover) top to bottom, Paul Newman is first, i.e. higher, or "top" billing. But reading left to right, Steve McQueen is first. The same applies to their photographs either side of the main artwork, McQueen on the left but Newman (marginally) higher up. Ironically, this billing format was an issue when McQueen was considered for a role in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."

Continuity mistake: After Indy rips a big strip of Marion's dress in the Well of Souls, it continues to change until she finally gets rid of it on the boat. At some points (eg. running from the plane before it explodes, and other shots) it seems quite straight across, more like a shorter dress than a torn one. A few moments later, when they are crouching behind an earth bank and Sallah tells Indy the Germans are putting the Ark on to a truck, the dress is badly ripped in various places across her back. Not long afterwards, it is in one piece again but back to the bottom edge being ripped. (01:13:00 - 01:21:35)
